Big Badger House (aka Noisy Lodger) HE'S GONE!

You know as well as I do that he won't get it. Let's just leave it
I'll send it the moment he stirs up any trouble. But for now, I value the peace too highly. I'd rather breathe easily knowing that everything's in the past and everyone's happy, than start more arguments and risk retalliation. I really, really, really don't want my tyres slashed during my last 2 weeks in London.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -

They don't appear to be related (not knowingly anyway :P) They can be moved around to different rooms at any time, BL has keys to those rooms and also BL isn't going to be out the country for more than 6 months at a time.
When I lived in a HMO no-one knew each other and the LL had keys to our rooms, which he gave to the workmen, well the handy man who was also living there!0 -
I have to admit that you are prob right BL, I'd do the same in yuor shoes BUT you must realise that all of us MSEers were hoping for a bit of invoice related drama! :rotfl:0

Did the owner live there too? I don't really understand much about lodgers/tenants, just what I have read here but it seems to be mainly to do with where the owner lives and who can go where.
We are tenants but in our last property the LL (and relatives) had keys to the property.0 -
Guys, give BL some credit for dealing with this in the best way possible for herself right now.
Yes, we all like the vicarious dramas etc but you have to choose your battles in this life.
BL is off very soon for a huge adventure & I know myself that you have to pick the right time to not 'get tyres slashed' etc
Let's all be supportive if/when she does do it & just as supportive if she chooses not to....
Concentrate on buying her lovely belongings & adding to the BL Adventure fund, like I did....
Lecture over... :beer:0 -

The hat, you know the yellow and blue tassely hat that was on top of the wardrobe in the 'room debri' photo. Well that hat is haunting me, I keep seeing it everywhere! I keep imagining it's your awful ex lodger & I live nowhere near Wales!0

Well the bad news tonight is that my squat in London is being closed
So I have to clear everything out of my room there as well (I was just going to leave it all for my sister). It's such a shame to see a wonderful community like that broken up - I've loved so many of the people there, they're all wonderful! Even the horrible one.
So now I'm trying to get shot of great huge pieces of furniture :eek:Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
Can't you just leave the stuff there and arrange to pick it up in ...ooh...let's say two or three weeks time? I am sure the owners would hold on dutifully to your belongings! :rotfl:
Can you use the stuff back at home, or is it too big to transport?0
