Surely it would be just as easy to ring the bell and explain to them what is being delivered and why. Along with the invoice for unpaid rent and a new carpet........
I reckon turning up at his ma and pa's and speaking to them might sort it all out fairly quickly. Especially if there's a charge levied for storage.
Or for more stirring fun speak to their neighbours.0 -
And hopefully his parents might "badger" him in to paying his debts (sorry)0

I can't imagine they'd want a small claims court letter turning up at their address.0 -
I would do as suggested above. Take the items to his parents. Hand them over (not dump them), and also hand them an invoice for repairs to walls, replacement of carpet, staorage fees and any rent paid. Make sure it is not in a sealed envelope.
He most likely will not pay but it will give the parents some idea what he has been up to.0 -
He's a grown man, his parents are no longer responsible for him and its not fair to drag them into it really.
Nothing wrong with a 'have you sorted a day to come' nudge. Followed by a, are you sure you dont want any of this stuff message, if he dosent come up with a day.0 -

It's not really a case of directly going out to involve his parents tho. This is the only known contact point that BL has for him. I'm sure he would rather his stuff go there than in the bin.0 -

He might be a grown man but is acting like a child. He clearly isn't mature enough to pay bills on time and behave in a decent manner.
BL should not be expected to hold on to his belongings forever.0 -

It's really the only place to take the stuff with any certainty of its safety. Personally, I would leave it in the nearest skip ,but that's just me :mad:0 -
Thinking about it, what proof is there that he still has belongings at BLs house? I know he has the letter which she sent but who is to say he didn't collect on one of the dates given? If BL did dispose of his goods, how can he proove he did not collect them?0
