Badger I thought I'd let you know that because of you('re story), my wall isn't polyfilla'd, my cuppa did not get made and some really pants TV programme has managed to creep onto the TV!
I love the story though; where are the regulars (now me included) going to go when Lodger 1 has (finally) moved out? Perhaps I should find some faults with my fiancee and try and get her out? What about the house rabbit?
I'm now off to make my tea but I have a horrible feeling I won't actually achieve anything today due to my goddamn F5 button!0 -
Aww, Timmne! I strongly doubt there'll be much update today - you're free to achieve!
I'm feeling better now, anyway... a long-time-ago ex got in touch via Facebook last night so we've been sharing a nostalgia trip that's made me feel quite dreamy and floatyMortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
Just finished reading the thread having started late last night and fell asleep at the k/b :rotfl:
Nooooo it wasn't cos the story is boring, far from it!!!!!
Had to reply so I have it subscribed as I'm dying to see how it turns out!
I've a feeling you're not going to hear anything from him today though and he's going to drag this out into next weekend. If I were you I would now hold the rest of his belongings hostage until he pays up the rent he owes. Don't forget he messed you around over the van yesterday so he can forget the deal you had to write off the rent he owed up to that point“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

I love this thread. Right so your next text to him needs to be:
"I am so sorry your daughter is poorly. However you seem to have got me mixed up with a charity. Your stuff is all bagged up now, and if you don't collect it by 6pm then you will be able to collect it from the local tip anytime after that."LBM £18463.32 in debt 10th June 2008,£12470.99 in debt 10th June 2009.:jTime flies like an arrow.

I think the fundamental problem is, using his daughter as an excuse, if that is what he's doing.
My initial thoughts (or probably what I'd like to happen) is that a parent would never lie about their child being ill to get out of something - it's the ultimate sign of disrespect. SO, the daughter probably is ill.
Then, my cynical side steps in and thinks that he probably is that low and might lie about this, given his past....0
