False alarm! I'm getting paranoid in my distress...

Although, on a completely separate note, I just opened a new jar of Asda stuffed vine leaves for my lunch and found some kind of beetle living in it .

So I'm going to drive to Asda and, if I still haven't heard from him when I get back, I'm going to go and see my Freecycler and at the very least apologise in person for yet another delay. It's unfortunately too late in the day now to hire a van myself, so I can't move him out myself or pick up my furniture.

I'm going to open up his room and bag everything up, moving what I can downstairs to the front room. He will then no longer be renting that room, and I will be free to use it as I please.

He will be given until 10th July to collect his belongings, after which time I will dispose of them as I please.

I will be forced to change the locks, just to protect everyone living here... thanks for the tip, sooz, it is just a Yale lock

Freecycler has just called, sounding as exasperated as me :( I've explained everything, and told her I'm just going to hire my own van on Wednesday.

So, I'm off up to his room now, so at least I can finally relax for the weekend (I need sleep!!!)...

    Ewwwww - yuck.

I think you've been remarkably patient with him bearing in mind he does seem pretty useless at actually doing anything he says he will - hmmm, wonder why his marriage failed......

Funny that no-one actually believes he's at the hospital (although for his daughter's/ex-wife's sake I hope he isn't - iyswim).

Shall laugh if he's doing the shopping at Asda with the girlfriend though.......:rotfl:

yeah, i think it's good, as at the end of the day july 10 was the date for the notice
it could have been much simplier if he didn't say all his crap about leaving 'in a week' !!!

Just taking a break from bagging up his stuff (I've run out of bin bags now anyway, so have to go out for more).

Best find so far - one of my mugs (part of a set) with two used cotton buds stuck to the inside

It's when you find some of your underwear in his room that you stop caring/being careful with his stuff :)

    Back from Asda!

Got more bags now... and they give me a free bottle of sparkling Rose (after ID-ing me, second time this week) as compensation for the beetley-thing. So that's chilling and will be opened in the event that this saga finally ends!
