Replacing your wardrobe pole shouldn't be that diffculy.

Work out what diameter and length and pop along to B&Q, if the one they have is slightly to long a quick bash with a hack saw will have you sorted.

Some come in an oval shape, complete with oval fittings.
I should know - Mrs Hound has so many things hanging on her pole she managed to bend it! I managed to get replacement parts from "Screwfix".

    Helllooooo!

Sorry for the gap, I've been up North for a couple of days and I'm not sure the Internet's got there yet...

I had a message on Monday saying simply "she's out today". No word on collection, and his stuff is still here. Tomorrow is the deadline, I guess if we're counting the minutes then it would be until 9:38pm (the time I evicted him), but I would probably reasonably wait until midnight.

I'm going to collect my Freecycle furniture tonight, so he's certainly blown the "call it quits" deal because I'll be arranging my own van hire. (Does anyone know a company that will rent by the hour rather than day? I'm only making 1 local trip :( )

Our local freecycle has a netcafe site as well (for chat, local information, etc) and I have seen people on there asking for recommendations/man with a van - might be worth seeing if you have a netcafe connected to your local site.....

Thanks for the update - fingers crossed it all works out okay in the end (although I suspect he's still going to be [strike]an ar5e [/strike]awkward).

google man with van or taxivan or ikea collections - may cost the same for an hour as hiring for a day but at least you won't have to do the humping yourelf (unless you take a shine to man with the van)

I can confirm that the internet has not reached up north just yet, I have to send my message via carrier pigeon who flies to watford, conveys the message via clog dance and some nice southerner then inputs it into their computer.
