It's back to its former glory now (with a rug over the offensive bit which I've cleaned as much as possible and a brand new mattress protector):Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0

Just caught up on what has been going on since xmas.
I just want him to come now and it for all to be over for you! Cant imagine what you are going through, just waiting for him to turn up at what ever time is convenient for him.
Hope you enjoy your dinner party with all those male guests, you lucky lady.Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.0 -
Loving the storage unit. Where did you get that?0

It looks rather like some of those Ikea CD storage units I have.

He's probably decided he'll wait until after the potential lodger has been over (from what I can tell, he'll think the potential lodger is coming over tonight), or at least not risk being over at the same time, because then he'll have to face questions about why he's gone, etc, and that could be uncomfortable for the poor sausage. Plus, he might think B_L would rope him into getting it ALL cleared up before the other guy comes over, when he has the right to leave his stuff there until he's ready to deal with it (he wasn't planning on actually removing it until Sunday, again, if I remember correctly), if he came before, because she's just that unreasonable- I mean, she locked him out of his house!
Or, I'm doing the guy a disservice (unlikely), and he's decided that since he needn't pack, he'll just come collect it tomorrow as planned (referring back to before- if I remember correctly). Even then though, it's rude not to let B_L know.
Enjoy your meal with the burlies, though I'd send them to answer the door every time from now on, so if he does pop over without warning, he can tell them why they had no warning. If it rains, it rains.

Ikea indeed - its the little CD brother of the mighty 'Expedit' which is the de facto off-the-shelf Vinyl storage solution for any music boffin/ DJ

Thanks, wish they would build an Ikea near us.0

Okay! So BurlyFriend1 has arrived and we nipped out to get food for tonight's dinner. I didn't take my phone will be (accidentally, but it didn't seem important). Here's what I came home to:BigGunsLodger wrote:I'm on the way.BigGunsLodger wrote:Another wasted journey to yours, the stuff downstairs I'm not even keeping half of it. I came to sort everything for when I move it all, and clean up. But yet again your not in. Are you in tommorow?, I'll have to inspect photos etc you have moved to make sure you haven't damaged any.
I just replied:Badger_Lady wrote:Hi BigGuns,
I just got in from Sainsbury's. It's an easy van load, shouldn't take long to remove.
I am having friends over for dinner tonight, so if you are coming just be aware of that.

Oh dear, does he not get it? His stuff shouldn't even be there, and you're being more then fair letting him in 3 times- it should be a case of him coming once, and taking everything- and he can ruddy well sort it out elsewhere. And to imply it's your fault he's wasted his journey- how arrogant is he to assume that you'll just wait in your house for him, without any idea of when he's coming over, or even if he is.
And what was he intending to do with the stuff he wasn't keeping, leave it there? :eek:If it rains, it rains.
