  • B_L I definitely would take JoannaLodger out for a drink or a pizza to thank her for being so patient with that useless and inconsiderate berk. He could have lost you a decent lodger with his antics.

    Apparently it is done!
    Well done! :)
All you have to do now is de-fumigate his room
I know, wrestling with the smoking demon myself atm, how stinky things got, without me realising it.
Yeah, I just need to find the spare key...

This is exactly what they do do... however BigGuns managed to delay his second month's rent and then keep it going so he was always just that little bit behind... and he should have paid something on 29th December too but obviously cancelled his standing order. We discussed it a few pages back - in theory I should have chased him to be more up-to-date from the beginning, but it just hasn't been a priority.
Hmm... I think you've been played like a violin, sorry to say. This fella, far from being a f-eck-less waste of space, is an operator who won't change his ways unless and until it suits him. You're well rid and let his next putative landlord know what transpired.

Well his room has certainly had a good airing by now :rotfl:

The front door lock has now been changed for a big, chunky new one. Most blatant change ever.

I couldn't get the locksmith to leave though - he was trying to add me on Facebook and take me out

No it's in London now! He did go into my bedroom though (but the bed was folded up as a sofa so that doesn't count).

  • Honestly, you're not very business-minded. A friendly locksmith is a very useful contact to be had. For the price of half an hour and a free pint.
