So he's going to argue that he's entitled to remain there the night of the third and/or insist you can't change the locks until he has removed his last items or thinks he can sway you in person?

After the locks have been changed, do you have any burly sized friends who will remain with you while he packs up his stuff and can escort him out?

This has the potential to get hostile if he's not made plans to remove all his stuff tomorrow and hasn't arranged other accommodation.

I suppose, technically, if you asked him to leave on the 3rd at the latest, he has until midnight to do so unless an earlier time was specified.

I am not sure, but I think you also have a duty of care towards his belongings if he doesn't remove them by the date.

He can stay until midnight if he likes. I'll be here to let him in and out.

Absolutely - I'll be bagging them up and popping them in the front room, then inviting him to collect them on a suitable day. Clearly, these are pretty restricted by my working patterns! But that's his choice. I can't really offer to help any more than I already have.

Too nice imo, I would employ someone to do it and take it out of his deposit, why is it the 2nd and hes not packed yet?

    Oh hold on, I forgot - he's a !!!!!! manchild.

Of course, I was just responding to another post suggesting you should just dump them on the street - didn't want someone else thinking that was OK.

If he does leave his belongings then you have to take care of them for a short time - after that you can reasonably sell them and recoup costs. Tell him this and it might light a fire under his lazy a$$

Well done, your patience seems to almost be rewarded (only a few days to go now until it is all, finally finally, sorted).

I think your far, far, far too soft

This guy has known for weeks he HAS to move on that date. He TEXTS you the NIGHT BEFORE moaning that he 'cant get work off' - has he only just (8pm) found this out?? Does this individual not plan?

At least hes not staying there

Personally I wouldnt let him back in, and pay someone to pack and move his shlte downstairs (paid out of the deposit) ready for him on weds
