I think it automatically happens if you post in the thread - I don't recall subscribing to some threads on here yet I do get notifications. The updates are often dead slow though, sometimes lagging 12 hours or more.0

He was really, really nice - very friendly, with a lot of similarities to myself (he lives near my grandparents and plays piano and flute). He stayed for a cuppa and a chat and we both really liked him. He's trying to reduce the cost of his worktime accommodation so I gave him the option of short-term pricing. Basically, instead of just renting the room full-time, he could just rent it for four days a week on the weeks he needs it at £15 a day, £60 a week. This would work out to a maximum £250 a month, less when he's out of town, and would give me the option of renting or using it for guests at weekends. As long as he always booked his return date, I would make sure it was ready for him to come back.
I know that means I might get potentially less money overall, but I think that's OK - it might even get me under the Rent a Room Scheme threshold, which makes the tax bit easier. And I do like being able to put my visitors in a nice double room to themselves!
Anyway, he's going to see some more places tonight and then give me a call either wayMortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -

ok this is bugging me now and i need some help otherwise i will fail my BigBadgerHouse O level.
Cos I read this thread over about 4 days I have lost the plot somewhat and I just HAVE TO KNOW: was there a female lodger who nicked the keys to the house around the time she was leaving for not paying her rent? Did I imagine this? Or read it elsewhere? Help!Ellie

Ellie2758 I think QuackersLodger forgot to hand in her keys straight away, but she did come back in the end.
Actually she's been back a few times and paid up all of her back rent
Hope that helps!Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0
