Actually you don't get to choose whether or not to own the cat - they select their owners...

Take him to the local vet to see if the cat is chipped. If not, see if the cat is in the mood to grant you the privilege of looking after them

Aah, the mini-Tufter is actually called Kaluha and lives two doors down... a mutual neighbour told me last night.

First thing this morning, bright and early, there he was calling out for his playmate to come out!

There's a cat who lives down the road from me who comes to call for my cat. She will sit on the wheelybin, looking through the windows and calling for him until he comes out to play in the flowerbeds with her.

Thanks for coming, Donna! I think we are at risk of entering the list of "lost productivity in the UK"... oh well

It is sort of a shame to lose ClumsyLodger, but you know what? It's a bit of a relief too. I've spent months worrying about whether I was tidy enough, or quiet enough for her, knowing that she'd never complain but might get upset. Actually I'm tempted to replace her with two boys again - I miss those days!

I wish you were near where I'm looking to move B_L, I really hope I end up with a landlady/lord as much fun as you and your place sounds. Any chance I can persuade you to move to Surrey?
