Have spent much of the day reading this thread! Brill! Hope tufters is feling better!
And what about all these other free rooms? No lodgers for there? And did narnia ever get finished.. you could drape some material narnia style over the window!0 -

Hia Kelda! Actually Tufter is much better, thankyou... I've had a bit of a struggle making him eat but he's maintaining weight and looking much more comfortable with his movement. He'x even started begging on his hind legs again!
I honestly don't think I could handle a full house again yet... At least not until the plumbing's finished. That's another mystery actually - the plumber came in January, replaced my bath and started plumbing a shower... But there's been no sign of him since and he hasn't charged a penny yet. Hmm.
Narnia desperately needs replastering - there are gaping holes in the walls. But it's currently a very cosy half catbed, half badgerbedMortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
Glad to hear that things are going well for you B_L!!
Not so good about the peeping tom builder though. You should have been notified that the new neighbours were planning to do some work - if they've done things properly. A wee phone call to your local council's planning department might be worth while.....
Pets, eh, they're always a worry! It's good that Tufters is on the mend now though.
Hope your plumber's been back to finish the job? There's nothing worse than when someone starts something in the house and you've no idea if/when they're coming back!
Take Care

I've just read my way through every post since the first. Jesus wept! My eyes are square, but it was completely entertaining. Could you not take in another lodger, preferably one that is a bit tapped, for our entertainment?! Thank you!0

Hello!
Well, ClumsyLodger came home with some news last night - she's had an offer accepted on a house in town! Yay for her! So she probably won't be moving for a little while but it is on the cards.
In other news, Tufter's found a friendIt's a small black kitten, couldn't be more than 4 or 5 months old, who keeps following him around everywhere. The thing is, they're sooo similar apart from size! So Tufter's just doing his usual thing, sitting and staring at me, or jumping in the bathtub, and then a mini-Tufter just copies him. I don't know where he came from but he's spending an awful lot of time with us... I'm not feeding him though.
