Eep! Am I entirely overreacting or is this creepy??

nope - not overreacting - definitely creepy.

Have you got something you can put up at the dressing room window like a modesty screen of some sort - or even a clothes rail with a sheet draped over it - just to make a point.

Could you take a different route to work /leave earlier to miss him/ walk on the other side of the road.....

I'd be tempted to drop a note through the owners door asking how long before the fence is replaced as you're fed up with the workmen perving at you....!

Not sure what else to suggest but good luck

Thanks guys! I don't think perving has been a problem since then - I'm normally done before they arrive. But him with the van seems to be there earlier and earlier (they never used to start til 10am, this morning he caught me at 8:15).

I may well pop something in the window though, just in case.. Thanks for the suggestions - to be honest curtains is probably easiest, there's a rail already.

Will keep an eye on it! I'm sure it's unusual for serious stalker to make so much contact.

Now, why would you think that? From what little I know about peeping toms and stalkers, the watching part is just the first rung on the ladder. Then, when that's not satisfying their pervy requirements enough, contact is the next one.

Get some curtains up pronto and tell this creepy man in your loudest voice that you do not welcome his attention one iota! I'd be minded to pop round and speak to the site supervisor about him.

Have they got PP for the extension? If there's windows being overlooked planning often wants frosted glass etc...

Sounds creepy... might just think he knows you from somewhere (Apart from perving on you...)

That was my thought, and given hes a bloke a clumsy attempt to be friendly after being caught perving - my oh did something similar when he was in temp accommodation, sat at his desk staring in to space and realised his room faced the female accommodation and one was getting changed when she yelled at him through the open window. He spent the three weeks he was staying there trying to be friendly - but was too shy just to apologise - to the girl but just freaked her out even more.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Since then, most mornings when I walk to work the same chap is hovering by / in his white van parked round the corner. He's started pointedly saying "good morning" as I walk past, even if I'm obviously texting on my phone and crossing to the other side of the road. This morning he said, "do you work at [can't remember what name he said]?" I replied "no" and he pushed the point... to my paranoid mind he was trying to make me reveal where I do work.

Eep! Am I entirely overreacting or is this creepy??

Say something like "actually I work for the Tax office". Should send him scuttling for the hills!
Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j
  • Totally creepy!

Black bin liner taped to the window will do the trick!

Report the [STRIKE]filthy pervert[/STRIKE] peeping tom to the police - maybe someone will turn up and have a little word with him and that will be enough to scare him off.

Certainly bordering on the creepy. It's not just coincidence.

Your stalker is a bit weird! OR maybe he just fancies you and is shy and doesn't know how to approach you #alwaysseeingthebestinpeople #naiive !
