I started using the oils in the middle of march off and on like i did the 1st time and it didnt seem to make any difference to my combination skin i'm 46 get break outs and now have wrinkles as well. so between spots, large pores, wrinkles and saging skin not a great sight. so just over 2 weeks ago i started doing it every night and i'm happy to say this week i have noticed a change in my skin it has started too look so much better. everybody else has noticed it too its not perfect but so much better. friends have been asking what the secret is i have told them about the oils but they dont believe me and think i have found some miricle cream. DD has suffered terrible eczema since she was little and it gets bad on her face she has started using olive oil on its on twice a week and now no more dry patches.

That's good to hear, I've only been doing it a few weeks (and to be fair not EVERY night) and my pores on my cheeks appear larger and my skin has broken out big style, I'm thinking about giving up. My skin sounds very similar to yours. Maybe I've not got the quantities right or I need to find another oil to go with the castor (I use jojohba (SP??)

I don't know what to do at the moment

I found that mixing it with olive and sunflower oil helped me, as well as cleaning more frequently.

Changes, not perfection but improvement were quite quick for me. TBH if it wasn't working after a few weeks I think I'd try something else. Its not worth pushing something thats not helping YOUR skin.
  • My skin acne wise had settled down a lot over the past year or so, but having oily skin and large pores has always been the same. I guess I was hoping to see good results given the rave reviews of OCM.

I don't know if its the OCM not working thats making me break out, or that it IS working and I have to go through this to see results, maybe it's that I'm not doing it every night or I'm using the wrong oils/quantities.

    Any suggestions??

Hard to tell. I might experiment with doing half my face, but then I'm a naturally nosey/inquisitive person, so would find it worth the bother just to find out. I understand that some people might find better things to do with their time. :D

I do find mine better when I OCM every night. I still get sots but they go quicker. My pores are smaller, tighter, my skin is firmer. I find my skin worse when I slack off. BUT if I'd not seen improvements in say, 21 days, I'd have given up. All I can suggest is uping the castor oil. Try a longer massage (e.g. tonight I massaged for 15 mins, usually its less, but when I do half hour my skin is definitely better). I also still use skin care (for me this is estee lauder night repair serum.) ATM I have a spot on my neck and one on my nose. I only starting getting spots often in the last few years, but I find with ocm they heal quicker and are fewer.
  • Thanks for your replies, I'll try for another 2 weeks every night and see how it goes, fingers crossed :-)

    Hi

I have been going through the threads to work out whether to use grapeseed oil or olive oil and the ratios.

I have combination skin with spots on my forehead. I get back and white heads but at the same time, I have dry patches.

Can someone please advise me? Also, sorry to be a duh but how are you working out the ratios ie 80/20?
