I got some castor oil today in the first chemist I tried - the Cooperative. I have a feeling these may be only here up North though?
I'm just catching up on the thread to try to calculate what percentage castor to EVO I'm going to use.0 -
I got my castor oil yesterday, also the first place I asked (the independent chemist on Borough High Street near London Bridge station). Cost me £2.29 but that's central London for you.
Hoping to try the OCM for the first time this eveningOperation Get in Shape

got my castor oil from Boots today.. the chappy on the till didn't think they had it but the lady informed him that it was in the drawer behind the counter, they don't have it on display because of pregnant women taking it to start off their labour as I was informed! Was only £1.33 though!March: £533.03/£310
April: £118.82/£4500 -
Right, well I decided to use sweet almond oil instead of my extra virgin olive oil, and mixed it 1tsp of castor oil and 4 of sweet almond oil. My skin looked and felt baby soft afterwards. Will update as I go along.0

My castor oil arrived this morning
Ordered from chemist.net in the end as I still couldn't find ANY locally, it was 95p for 100ml and 2.95 for delivery by DHL, I ordered 5 bottles to make it worth paying the postage
Also went and bought some EVOO this morning so will compare that and sunflower oil and see which I prefer, going to try it for the first time tonightNot looking forward to the many spots it's inevitably going to bring out, I can see a million blocked pores just waiting to turn red lol, but hoping that stage won't last more than a week, I can live with that.

Well, I had my very first go this evening!:) And have to say I was pleasantly surprised - I was expecting it to be a bit of a faff, but it wasn't at all. Tried 20% castor and 80% organic e/v rapeseed oil (coz that's what I have lol). Skin felt slightly taut afterwards, so applied a dab of oil to my face as per instructions.
So far so good. Will be back to update and thanks everyone or another great MSE thread!:) :T
