I cut my childrens apples into quaters, remove the core, then wrap in tin foil (i buy tesco value), this seems to keep them good enough until lunchtime/snacktime, they havnt complained anyway!!!!0

The same thing that Noozan and Catowen suggested has just occured to me-just cut the apple up in segments and wrap tightly in its original shape,I should think that would work.0

I have an apple chopper and do the same thing - cut it nearly through and then put it back together and wrap in clingfilm. DD loves having a "flower apple" and it seems to encourage her to eat more of it than if it were whole."Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee."0

Asda sell little round tubs in their Smartprice range, it's a semi opaque white plastic tub and are 34p (I think). An apple should fit in one of these.I have the mind of a criminal genius. I keep it in the freezer next to Mother....0 -
Have got the pots, dont think it would stay together if not wrapped in something. Oh well she will just have to have a whole apple !

Gosh, how strict is that! Perhaps wrap the cut and reformed apple in some greaseproof paper and put that inside the little pot. And give her strict instructions to bring the greaseproof paper home, just in case the school is paranoid about litter or something.0 -
She is 7 but not to sure that the school would be happy about her taking in cocktail sticks! Dont know whos worse my daughter or her school?

Yes they are strict, they are not allowed to take their snack in anything except a pot, we have even been told that if its a yogurt to tip it into a pot and they have to bring all their rubbish home at lunchtime, as if parents havent got enough to think about !!!!!
