            Evening all
Purpleprincess - I could be jealous of all those gigs ..... but I am seeing the Dirty Pretty Things in Brighton the week after next - have a good time
Cheers for the heads up on the butter elona - will stock up tomorrow
Hugs mrs mix and pen-pin - how long do you think you'll be in?
dd(11) has requested smoked salmon and salad for tea tonight - she's been veggie for nearly 2 years but must be feeling in need of some brain food. As its SATs week I'm pretty much going with the flow. I am being very very nice and waiting for estenders to finish first - oh it's nearly over - byeeI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Still thinking of you Mrs Mix (((hugs)))
And I'll be thinking of you, Penny Pincher when you're in hospital. (((hugs))) to you too. x
Shez - the green points in Tesco, as I understand it, is one point per bag "officially". From what I've managed to guess with when I've reused my bags, it's what they think is "fair" and some operators are more "fair" than other. Tonight I got 6 points just for using two small bags.......
I made a veggie sauce for supper tonight, which went along with some pasta. DH seemed to enjoy it, even though I'd put courgettes in it, which aren't his favourite veg by a long shot.
Only one day until the weekend, thankfully!

Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Haribo
PenPin - Hope it all goes well for you in hospital - I know the telly is expensive but it made all the difference to me when I was in hospital last year.
Brrrr very cold here today and is soo wet - good for the veggies though - never thought I would be saying that!:rotfl:
Didnt do any washing today and had to pop out unexpectedly so no housework or paperwork either. Think I know what I will be doing tomorrow - will get it done though as just found out that the Essex Food Show is on at the weekend and Ive wanted to go for the last 2 years so I will be going Saturday or Sunday.
Going to watch a bit more mindless telly then have an early night.
Hope you all have a lovely evening.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MR AND MRS HARIBO
Hugs to anyone else who wants one. Talking of rising prices, I have to fill the car up tomorrow, amd dreading it. It's cold and raining here, have put the heating on to warm up a bit!
I'm really tired tonight. Have done some weeding at the allotment, my carrots and spring onions have finally appeared :T . Want to try and put my sweetcorn in tomorrow if I can. Have done some studying. This module is so dry I can only cope with half an hour until my brain gives up.
Will try and get an early night tonight. Sweet dreams all.

I've just heard that my oldest school friend has just given birth to a baby boy! It's my first school friend to have a baby and I feel a little emotional as I've known her since I was 11. It's almost as if we're all growing up......... eventually.

            Hiya :hello:
Catowen Great news about all of your new LOs, you are obviously in demand!
Purpleprincess Congratulations on your teaching degree. I did a 4year B.Ed (3-11years) back in 1989 and really enjoyed it, although you will discover that you learn more in your first year of teaching than you did in 4 years of uni! :rotfl: During my first week of teaching, two parents almost had a fight in my classroom!
HardupHester I hope that when OFSTED come calling it's not too painful. DH teaches is a very 'challenging' school here in Liverpool and they had their OFSTED 3 weeks ago and he was worried, but he brought the report home today and they came out as GOOD. It was such a relief, as the team recognised the many problems and challenges faced by the staff and the fact that there are 27 different languages spoken within the school.
Hugs to Smoky and mrs mix.
Big hugs to those who are sad or unwell.
It's been really sunny here today and no sign of rain yet, although it has been forecast for tonight.
A busy day at work, but very rewarding as we've now taught 18 children out of my class of 28 four year olds how to ride a bike without stabilisers.:j We've beaten last year's record and we reckon that it will top 20 by the end of term. Never mind the 3 Rs, riding a bike is a life skill! :rotfl:
DH has finally finished his reports for the time being and so I hope to get back on here more often now.
I've spent a few bob this week
as I've bought a few items of clothing for the summer, most of them from Tesco and Asda, so no designer clothes here and they were all reasonably priced too. Lots of cropped pants, some new tops for the summer and a nice pair of 'going out' shoes for a wedding do we're going to next week.
I'm off for a shower so have a good evening.:D0 -

Pen-Pin,
I was feeling the same as you yesterday, I was very nervous and felt sick. When I went in for my surgery the nurses were lovely and they made me feel at ease. The anaesthetist came round to talk to me before I went in and she explained exactly what would happen.TBH after I got the pre med I was pretty woozy and only remember about 2 seconds after I got the GA. When I came round I was fine and everyone took good care of me. Please try not to worry, you'll be ok.
love and hugs

            Evening
I've been very lapse this week in getting on here, so apologies if I've missed anything huge.
Got another little job to help bring in a few extra pennies. Start that in a week and a bit So working 4 jobs now. However, the cost of petrol is really worrying me now. I'm not going out unless necessary to reduce petrol use, so just going to work and going home again.
Got next week off, so that'll help keep fuel down. Mr ISA Bumble's received 10p today.
Got some cach to go in the ISA - must do that next week
Feeling the pinch somewhat. Bet you all are too
Off to bed now
