I know it's definitely easier said than done, but I have to remember I am letting them treat me like this, so I have to put a stop to it.... Just going to pick up youngest DD from choir shortlly, so am going to call them all into the kitchen when I am back & have a discussion rather than rant..... (for now!).
don't forget - you have two ears and one mouth (I hope
) use them in those proportions

            Afternoon all,
Weather still nice here...finally managed to make it to Evans and get the new bras I needed...had to go up a size which wasn't great but comfort is very important.
Curried breast of chicken with baked potatoes and veg....not sure what yet for dinner today, washing is out and just garden to be watered...no point in letting things die for lack of water.
DD4 now almost half way through her final exams...think they are going ok, she is never satisfied with exams, is hoping for double first, but languages are notoriously difficult so hope she is not too disappointed if it doesn't work that way...she has her place in Trinity for post grad teaching diploma so just needs to get through for that.
Aussie...my best friend had to have 3 stents put in eighteen months ago and she is fine, so I am sure that your sister will be fine, its one of those very successful procedures.
Mrs Mix...take care of you now
PenPin...hope that you are feeling better about op...positive thinking...
Hugs to all who are in need or want...and to those dealing with untidy offspring.
Haribo...congratulations to you and Mr Haribo...enjoy your trip
Sorry that I have left so many people out...hugs to you all

Have just got back from Lidl and stocked up on long life milk, bread flour, SR flour, lentils and split peas etc.
Flour there is still about 48 p a bag and their chicken thighs are a pound cheaper - so marinated chicken tomorrow!!!
Using up the remains of bolognese sauce with Lidl posh sausages and mash for tonight.
Have bread dough in the machine and will make two 2lb loaves tonight using the oven and then freeze one of them.
Have decided to make bread or rolls every day and anyone that wants the packaged stuff can go and buy it themselves!!!
Still have raw hobnobs to cook for later and have frozen some fresh milk for emergencies.
Even DH has noticed the rise in prices!!!! It must be bad!
Managed to buy a couple of two pound loaf tins in Sainsbury's so I can bake more than one loaf at a time in my tichy oven!
Hugs to penny pincher, AB, mrs mix, smokey, annie and anyone who could do with one.
that all sounds yummy - I'll round about 6.30pm to join you

I can't promise that all my replies will illicit this responser.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!

PurplePrincess, oh well done!!!! I started that course about 5 years ago, but after 2 terms decided it wasn't quite me, so stopped for a bit, had a rethink & am now doing social work instead (which is a joint Brighton/Sussex degree, but mainly Sussex). However, the Education staff at Brighton were lovely, all very nice & helpful (as are all the SW staff
). There's a lot of subjects plus your weekly teaching practice placement in year 1, so make sure you are organised from the start!!!! File stuff as you go along or it will catch you up when you're really busy! But you will be fine & don't worry about being "intelligent" enough to be there - they wouldn't have offered you a place if they didn't think you could do it
The Falmer site is very exposed to the weather (after the yomp up loads of steps from the station!) .... so take your thermals for winter, lol - and a good raincoat

Won't it take about 3 hours to travel?;)
dorry
My DH is just starting to believe me when we talk about recession too.
So glad I found weezl's thread on here as there are some great, cheap and nutritious recipes there.
One DD has just started university last October and youngest is only 14 so want to try to keep saving a bit if we can.
I was muttering to DH that when we are complaining about prices for basics like milk, eggs, cheese ,bread and oil - all basics - it shows how bad it is!"This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA

            Evening Guys!
Thanks for all the well wishes.
I am going in on Saturday morning at 9am and my op is Tuesday but I need to be monitored due to my illnesses and drugs I am having to come off to go under a GA.
Yes I am having the biopsy but also an operation on my sinus and mouth which they messed up late last year...if anyone can remember back that far:rotfl: ...I think I am going to look like the elephant man:rolleyes:
The TV is £3.50 a day:eek:          ...but as I get HSA whilst Im in there, its going to be a treat if theres anything decent on
I feel quite calm about it all today but everytime I think about the GA...I feel sick!
OH made me a lovely roast dinner tonight and was delish. I think we are having a chineese tomorrow night:D
WM & DW are on ATM. Cleaner is due tomorrow, so all bedding will be changed etc.
I have had a letter through for a referance for my helper who comes each week, so am hoping that she's not leaving me. We could possibly increase her hours weekly as I really dont want to start looking for someone else...what should I do
Should I ask her? It does make OH's life a little easier and she is a sweet girl.
Anyway, hugs to all.

Hi all, I hope you are all well
Mrs_Mix so sorry to hear your news *hugs*
Aussie I had an angiogram exactly one year ago - I didn't need a stent at the end of it. It is an uncomfortable procedure but not as bad as a Cesarean imho. My Sister does have stents, she has found it to make all the difference. I hope all goes well with your Sis, I was surprised at how "routine" the staff make the op seem...Maybe it is to them..0
