Good morning, well wet and rainy one here actually!
Yesterday turned out very productive in the end, made twink's hobnobs - seems like thousands of them! - millie's cookies, bread, french sticks, pizza, choc cake, lemon drizzle cake, even threw some potatoes getting near the end into the oven to bake whilst it was hot! Now have a huge supply of goodies to munch through!
Got friend arriving for coffee in a bit, need to bribe him with biscuits to put up a blind for me, so just as well I have so many! Then off to lunch with another friend and her little girl, will take some choc cake and hobnobs over to her as well! And as I'm not working tonight, yippee, I have somehow volunteered myself to help another friend with organising their paperwork before a trip to the accountant - used to do it for my dad, and he was a nightmare, just used to give me a bag of reciepts and scribblings! Might need some cake just to fortify me! Tomorrow I shall be doing nothing cos I shall be too fat to move lol!
As for os stuff, will put bm on later if we need any more, mixing up some more pizza bases in there at the mo so I can freeze them, yesterday was the first time I've used it for pizza dough, and it was excellent! Hoovered, even threw all the cushions off the sofa and hoovered that too! Amazingly for the first time in living memory I have got to the bottom of the wash bin, so no wm today, wow!
Right best go get the coffee going!

Good morning!:hello:
I haven't read the rest of the thread yet but will do so in a minute.
Just seen on twink's post that all went okay for Arkonite Babe -:j
and wanted to send special ((((HUGS)))) to Penny_Pincher - we will all be thinking of you while you are in hospital and hopefully your OH will have time to let us know how you're getting on. Everyone is scared when going in for an operation. I used to be a student nurse, and I remember our Nurse Tutor telling us that when he'd had to have an operation he was terrified even though he knew what to expect - "it's fear of the unknown" he said.
This is the day DH is at college with DSIL, so I hope to be able to get some housework done, interspersing it with resting as we went to Bluewater yesterday. I was too weary to cook last night and we ended up having a Chinese takeaway which was very unexciting:rolleyes: Will probably do corned beef hash tonight.
So far I've made the bed, cleaned the bathroom (most of it anyway) and just going to finish off the odd bits of washing up I didn't do last night. Will try to do some hoovering too.
I still haven't managed to go though my wardrobe weeding out what I don't want any more, but a Great Ormond St charity bag came through the door this morning so that should spur me on!:D
Off to catch up on the thread now, and will pop back later if DD doesn't persuade me to go to the shops with her and DGCs!
Love to everyone

Morning :hello:
(((hugs))) to mrs_mix, Penny-Pincher!!, smokybabe and anybody else who needs them. AussieLass, best of luck to your sister.
I'm at work at the moment - it's stifling in my office cos the air conditioning is broken  Given that it's not that warm outside today, how come it's 27 degrees in here? Anyway, I've got next week off :j :j so am looking forward to that.
Tonight I should be at my ballet class but am going to a colleague's retirement party instead. It is somebody I really like and respect, and I will miss him. I am going to try to be self disciplined enough not to stay too late or drink too much... the best thing is that as the guest of honour is a senior manager, it should be a free bar for at least a couple of hours
One thing I really need to do this weekend is sort out my wardrobe - there's loads in there that needs getting rid of (ebay/charity shop depending on the quality and condition) and I dare say plenty of stuff that I'd be getting some good wear out of if only I could find it and/or it was ironed!I am going to visit Nelski next week :j :j :j    and we will be going bargain-shopping, so I want to work out what sort of things I actually need to look for.
Lunch: Mushroom pasta. A very successful recipe I threw together on Monday. I have loads more mushrooms so am going to do another batch for the freezer tomorrow night when I am in.
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Hi everyone!
Bit Damp here in London, but the birds are loving the wet grass looking for worms!! After school run I went and paid the gas bill and water rates (small fortune gone there then!! ). Have made Jamie Olivers Lemon Cake and got some bread soaking for bread pudding. Need to use up some Rhubarb before it goes off - but I dont fancy crumble or jam - wouldnt mind some sort of cake/slice tray bake kinda thing?
When I went to Tesco's and reused my green bag I only got 1 point - other times I get 3? when I questioned it, they said it depends on whether its a full bag or not? I was told before you got 1 for the plastic ones, and 2 or 3 for the Big Green bags?Does anyone know what it should be???
Sorry this seems abit trivial doesnt it?!:rotfl: but i'm curious!
Happy Anniversary to Mr & Mrs Haribo:kisses3: :happyhear (hope you got yr DH a nice gingham hat as a pressie;) )

You can make this with rhubarb. Add a bit of ginger or orange zest to the rhubarb for extra flavour.
No more of the eggs hatched, so we'll be incubating another 6 next week :j
