    Hello all !
Lovely sunny day but a real chilly breeze.............had to drag out one of my woollies !!
Been to see my counsellor again............reduced me to tears this time and I thought I'd got over that. Last appointment next week as she's leaving the area and I don't really feel I can go through it all again. At least I now know what the issues are and hopefully can deal with them.

We were given a slow cooker at the weekend so OH has done a lamb curry to try it out.......................back up plan is in place (he says) in case something goes wrong..............lol

Hope you have a good day and hugs (((((((((((((:o )))))))))))))) to those who need them

I was just thinking that I haven't really posted for AaaaAAAaaaGES so thought I'd poke my head over that fence and say hi!

I'm still being a good little moneysaver! Albeit a little in debt due to leaving my job a year ago and going back to college, really enjoying it though and....

I GOT A PLACE AT BRIGHTON UNI!! :j I'm so excited! I never thought I was good enough to go to uni but they want me! So I start in September, is a four year course and I will be a qualified teacher able to teach 5 to 11 year olds! :D Am so chuffed to be able to follow my dreams.

I'm busy busy writing essays and presentations today as day off college, been quite productive so far, which makes a change!!

I always always always lurk and read to see how everyone is, always think about you funny lot!

Off to see some bands in Brighton tonight, for those of you that know me you'll know that this is not unusual!! :p but I have been good and restricted my spending on gig tickets! There is a mini festival on at the moment www.escapegreat.com so should be good.

Well I should make a start on my psychology essay now.... cup of tea :coffee:first methinks!!

Lots of :heartpuls, :kisses3: and :grouphug: to everyone XXX

Have just got back from Lidl and stocked up on long life milk, bread flour, SR flour, lentils and split peas etc.

Flour there is still about 48 p a bag and their chicken thighs are a pound cheaper - so marinated chicken tomorrow!!!

Using up the remains of bolognese sauce with Lidl posh sausages and mash for tonight.

Have bread dough in the machine and will make two 2lb loaves tonight using the oven and then freeze one of them.

Have decided to make bread or rolls every day and anyone that wants the packaged stuff can go and buy it themselves!!!

Still have raw hobnobs to cook for later and have frozen some fresh milk for emergencies.
Even DH has noticed the rise in prices!!!! It must be bad! ;)

Managed to buy a couple of two pound loaf tins in Sainsbury's so I can bake more than one loaf at a time in my tichy oven!

Hugs to penny pincher, AB, mrs mix, smokey, annie and anyone who could do with one.

Forgot to add that Lidl's Welsh butter is down from 85 pence to 78 pence so bought six packs as DH loves this and it is great for making Twink's hob nobs.

Might pop down to Sainsburys later as they have cheddar on BOGOF!

If I time it right I might also get some bargains that I can freeze.

TNG - :happyhear :kisses3: thank you :) I know it's definitely easier said than done, but I have to remember I am letting them treat me like this, so I have to put a stop to it.... Just going to pick up youngest DD from choir shortlly, so am going to call them all into the kitchen when I am back & have a discussion rather than rant..... (for now!).

PurplePrincess, oh well done!!!! I started that course about 5 years ago, but after 2 terms decided it wasn't quite me, so stopped for a bit, had a rethink & am now doing social work instead (which is a joint Brighton/Sussex degree, but mainly Sussex). However, the Education staff at Brighton were lovely, all very nice & helpful (as are all the SW staff :) ). There's a lot of subjects plus your weekly teaching practice placement in year 1, so make sure you are organised from the start!!!! File stuff as you go along or it will catch you up when you're really busy! But you will be fine & don't worry about being "intelligent" enough to be there - they wouldn't have offered you a place if they didn't think you could do it :)

The Falmer site is very exposed to the weather (after the yomp up loads of steps from the station!) .... so take your thermals for winter, lol - and a good raincoat

Anyway, off to get youngest.... will let you know how the "discussion" goes..... They'll probably all decide they want to go & move in with their father, lol!!!
