Thanks hellofreebies. I'll try for the Sky camera too. Did you find out, after you'd got the camera, what would happen if you didn't phone Sky - or - can it be cancelled before installation? Did you have to give copy of form you filled in to Comet?
Would like camera but don't want Sky!!

I,too, did this yesterday and wish to know about cancellations. My own(loved)digital camera showed what I am told is a lens problem, thus prompting me to DO something.
Goodwill all round, even though systems failed three times - but OneTel contract no. still wouldn't come up. Have both cameras though and appreciate comments read here as I am a tech-inept.

Does anyone know why my Sony Digital camera should suddenly have developed these symptoms?-switch on, see horizontal band across top 3mm. Even daylight scenes show as blues/magenta doubled/trebled perependicular lines - very stained glass windows-looking.
I don't have pennies to fritter and am always fearful or repair costs on things where I lack suitable knowledge.
Finally - how do I spotlight threads I want to find again? I spend hours trying sometimes and failing, despite using the How to Search forum. e.g. putting Comet in as keyword produced no results. This happens consistently - as it will to ignoram/-uses?/-i? like me. I don't refuse to learn/embrace new technology(it's wonderful)but stumble over it repeatedly.

i m gonna assume that if i dont call to install then they wont come... with the one tel i already know bt is gonna reject them so hopefully no need to chase up and cancel either at all.

gotta be the best freebie since the viking cd player offer!!

Thanks for this,i have now been to comet and got one of these,i would describe the end result as completely naff,the camera is flimsy,and the photos that i took with the flash were unuseable. I know its a freebie but quite honestly i can see why

so can anyone confirm with sky,

you jsut fill in a form in comet and ring them for install date, so if you dont ring they wont install, gona pop to my local comet on monday

there really is no pleasing some people lol!! i think the the free gift served a purposed to get you in store in hope you may purchase something else...i did that and purchased a dishwasher kit they had for £19.99 along with some bank media that was on offer...so all in all i had a good deal...if you cant afford a decent camera than its a great freebie...and if you already got a good camera then why are you going out your way to get a free one? Give it to a good cause that would appreciate it!

just have to wait and see..if they mail you..i 'll proberly go ahead anyway as orange have a deal til end of the month for half price sky for 4 months so i will just quote this if they call me before i call them.

well ill let people know my sky/comet expereince as popping in on monday could do with 5mp camera would look nice for my holidays next week

My wife has signed us up for Sky to get the free camera. We obviously don't want sky as we are already with NTL. Do we need to cancel the Sky or just not arrange an installation?
