My hub decided to try signing up at another local branch of Comet.....
Needless to say, I was surprised to see him walking back to the car with another camera!
The sales man told him "tell your mates, it's free and you can always cancel before 10 days"!
Well there you go...if Comet staff are saying you can do this just for the camera they really can't complain when people take advantage.

Is it possible to cancel Sky before they install it easily and would we be able to keep the camera?

Called Sky and say you can either cancel before they install, or even up to 8 days afterwards, and you won't pay anything!

Also picked up a leaflet about the camera offer and it doesn't even mention that they have the rights to take it back if you cancel!

You've got me confused now - do I sign up for One tel or Sky ?? Don't want either - but I do want a freebie camera!!! Has anyone received the 'Sky' camera, sounds a better cam. than the Onetel. I'm going to Comet tomorrow so got to make my mind up. If no replies will just have a nosey in store and 'report' back. PS Can you get both??!!!!!!!

Sign up for One tel at Comet a free 3.1 megapixel camera. Sign up for Sky at Comet for the better camera.

So far I only signed up for One tel and have now cancelled it - I only just noticed the Sky offer.

Will probably sign up for Sky on Friday.

Got my camera this morning. Yippee! No hassle in store. All that was wanted was bank sorting code and ac. no. No signing of direct debits.
(Did get the impression off the friendly assistant that if I hadn't of had this info with me any proof of ID would have been acceptable, but take your bank details with you just incase you come accross a 'jobsworth'!) Oh, and of course, you need your BT phone no. Camera seems great-to me. Not tried it yet but looking through instructions (loads of pages!!!) it also takes video clips and records sound. Happy snapping!!!

went in comet today and pointed at the sky poster that states free camera or mp3 player, asked if anyone was available to sign me up for sky, was ushered into a little cubicle, also asked if they had the offer for one tel. and if ok to sign up for two cameras...no problem ontel application was done on their computer systems the sky offer was done by yourself filling out the forms, was told one tel would contact me by post,sign and return the slip to which you should then be live within a fortnight...with the sky i was given tel. no to call and to quote todays order code to confirm an installation date....easy peasy...in and out with in 15 mins. Thanks to the op.

just wanna say the sky camera is worth £90 in comet and is way better out of the two...its a cute handy size...makes the other one offered by one tel like a brick... proberly give that one to my 5year old.
