Good ole Comet have an offer that if you sign up to Onetel in store or through their site they will give you a free digital camera.
They had an offer for a dvd player afew weeks ago but ran out before we could take advantage of the offer...next came the free mini cooler which we already had and didnt want another so we waited....
And hey presto a digi cam and seems quite a good spec too - just what I wanted for mum's Chrissy pressie.
We tried signing up via phone but the number on Comets site puts you through to Comet CS - who then gave us Onetel's number to ring. We proceeded to sign up through Onetel and were told "just ring Comet with your account number and they'll send you the camera".....Rang Comet and was told tough you should have come direct to the store or direct to us by phone!
What a bloomin palava! Just as i was losing the will to live we decided to ring Onetel, cancel the account we'd only just created and go and do it instore instead.
Which was far easier and we got our camera straight away with just 10 mins of taking details.
Really glad we stuck with it now as the camera will make a lovely gift - it comes with a case, wrist strap, USB cable, Video out (I think) cable, & even the batteries.
Incidentally we signed up for the free onetel service which doesnt require taking line rental and gives you free weekend calls.

It's a MUCH better camera than the one from which. For starters, it's a 3.1MP camera. It's better than my old Fuji A202.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Can anyone post a sample image. This would be perfect for my daughter on holidays. Also, do Comet keep a stock of these in store!?... and that's all I have to say about that.0

To give you an indicator it retailed until very recently at £49.99 in Comet (It's their own brand) and previous to that it was £79.99 so it's not cheap tat. Not top of the range obviously, but @ 3.1 megapixels with a clear LCD display it's an incredible freebie. Wonderful for snapshots and the like. Just one other thing to mention; the software is for PC. I'm a mac user myself and the camera just plugs and plays as an external drive so fine for me - personally I wouldnt want the naff software that usually comes with these things but I'm a self confessed software snob!
