Hi!
I'm currenty with Specsavers and get my monthly contacts from them.
I'm looking to get some coloured contacts and wondered how some of you guys chose your coloured contacts.
I have grey eyes and wanted to see what brown ones looked like on me....do specsavers let you try different colours before you buy??
Thanks

D&A cannot withold your prescription from you - its yours & your right to have a copy of it. I recently changed from Optical Express where I had been paying £30.00 per month for years. I then discovered that Asda were doing the same lenses for £36.00 per quarter! I contacted Optical Express & explained the situation to them & they said that they could not compete & therefore posted out my sight & contact lens prescription without any problem.0

I'm finally taking the plunge and getting contacts. However. I need to know what happens? My eye sight test if first, then the assessment. Will they touch my eye?? Anyone give me a quick run through of what they do.0 -
It's pretty similar to a normal eye test. They'll probably puff some air into your eye. They put some drops into my eye and then examined them. I can't remember everything they did, I have so many eye tests for various conditions but there was nothing unpleasant. I'm a wimp and would definitely have remembered if there was.
Even should they have to touch your eye, don't worry, you don't feel anything. It was only when I had to start using eye drops for glaucoma that I overcame my squeamishness about my eyes.0 -
Can anyone help - i rang vision express today about their free contact lense trial - in the past i've used daily cl's which need to be toric (i also have an astigmatism) - the lady said i would need ones that are £55 for 30 pairs - this seems really expensive to me - she also said that if i dont get cls from them i have to pay for the cl consultation etc - anyone know of anywhere else i can go (except specsavers - used them twice in the past and they're awful)
Thank youA home is not a home ..... without a dog

Anyone tried Daysoft Contact Lenses?
http://www.daysoftcontactlenses.com/GB/CountryHomepage.aspx
Martin has them mentioned in his cost cutting guide.
They have lenses called 58 & 72.
I wear Specsavers elite, I wonder if they are really as good (comfortable & long wearing) as them?0 -
