Just wanted to add that I think different coloured eyes look lovely - do you not like them?
Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.0 -
Yeah I like them, but just fancy a change! I was hoping to get them cheaper online, rather than going to the opticians, but I'll ask next time I'm passing.Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind. They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.0

Don't buy your supply at the optician, just ask for a colour fitting. As you're already a contacts customer they should fit with trials and then sign you off as being competent (unless you wear dailies and go for monthly lenses). My prescription is for both ciba freshlook and johnson and johnson acuvue oasys. The coloured ones have a limited range of base curves and diameters so i'm usually an 8.4/14.4 but freshlook are 8.6/13.8 so they don't feel "right" but i can see with them and don't wear them for long anyway so it doesn't matter much.0

Can anyone advise cheapest places online to buy contact lenses.

Recently had a trial for contact lenses at Boots. I don't think I'm likely to wear them every day and Boots suggested going on to a £15 direct debit per month which would give me a pack of 30 lenses every three months but would also cover all eye tests and checkups and entitle me to half price glasses. I've been trying to track down this scheme on the net to compare it (she called it the BVP scheme) cut no luck. Does anyone do this? Or similar? I do know that it would be cheaper to order lenses online but thought the free eye tests etc might make it worthwhile.
Any views or suggestions very welcome0 -
Try asking at Asda opticians, they do a similar thing which works out cheaper usually and more convenient as you just get them as and when you need them rather than being stuck on a set amount every month/3 months. It's not a direct debit. Asda also give free lens checks etc once you're a patient.Mother, wife, scientist, analyst.

Is it £15 for 3 x 30 pairs lenses? If it's just 30 per 3 months that sounds expensive.
I ask for a copy of my prescriptions (which they are entitled to give you) and order the lenses via quidco. I then pay for my checks as I'm recommended to have them (once per year from Specsavers)Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you are usually right.0 -

Would anyone know if I can buy gas permeable lenses online. I am going for new lenses soon from my optician who uses Scotlens. I was hoping to buy a spare pair online but don't know which manufacturer to use that would be similiar to the lenses from Scotlens.0
