Its really hard to keep motivated! Especially as I seem to spend time browsing MSE instead of working! So here is my list again and I'm going to stick to it!

    Today I will:

play free gala bingo. Done - Didn't win a bean!!
    swim for free Done
do two hours work - Not Done at all!
collect free shed and take it to allotment.- Couldn't it collapsed!!

Having food from allotment for tea so should be a nsd. What is everyone else upto?

Wow Earthgirl, you get so much done!

Today I am going to go through the paper mountain in the kitchen and find some receipts that I know are hiding there, so DH can claim work expenses.

Feel like I get nowhere sometimes! Didn't have a very good day yesterday - I was so annoyed that I couldn't dismantle the free shed without it falling into a million pieces, that I ended up looking for a shed all night on the internet - and I don't really need one. It would be nice though!

So I completed no work yesterday - terrible!

    Today I'm going to-

go to library and get petrol.
    water allotment.
    go fishing - 1st time ever!fingers crossed!
    clean and tidy house.
    do 8 hours in supermarket.
    have a nsd.

If I get all the 'chores' done today like cleaning and getting petrol etc. then I can do promotion work on Saturday - which I really need to do!!!

    Have a good day everyone!

I had a NSD as I didn't even use the car but the OH didn't because he booked for a chimney sweep to come because it's cheaper in summer.

I also shopped around for cheap insurance via Quidco. I hopefully will get £120 back and the quote was for £387.91 which brings it down to £267.91 . My cheapest quote without Quidco was £315.80 so a good saving if it tracks OK. An added bonus is it was monthly payments with no interest so great for budgetting :)
  • After 4 NSD's on the trot, I spent about £4 today on bread, milk etc. Also bought shampoo but used Advantage Points to pay.

Whilst in town I went to Barclays to open an ISA. After queueing for ages I couldn't then open it as I didn't have my NI number on me. GRRRR!

Will not have a NSD tomorrow as I need to do proper grocery shopping, but should come under budget if I make a proper list and don't take OH!!!

We really want to book a short (and sunny) break next month, but since I've got back into money saving I feel in two minds about it as we always spend more than we intend. I'm gonna spend the evening looking via quidco etc. to get the best deal, so I can justify the expense!!!

I'm also going to set up a small regular overpayment on mortgage just to take my monthly payments to a whole hundred pound number. I've been reading all the diaries and feel bad for not doing more, but small steps will get there eventually!

    Happy Saving

Well had quite a good day yesterday but still ended up needing to do some chores today, so have not got as much promotion work done as I'd hoped. (Only done 30 mins!!)

Having a NSD - got a voucher to use up in Asda for a few bits I need, and trying to use petrol sparingly on way to work and back - 8 hours overtime.

Going to visit relatives and friends tomorrow so nsd planned - no cooking or electricity to use either!

Next week I am going to do nothing but mystery shopping, promotion work, and 10 hours overtime in Supermarket, until Thursday, when I'm going to have a day off and hopefully going to catch a freezer full of fish! (Didn't catch any yesterday- but its all good practice!)

    Have a great weekend everyone!

  • I share a house so I pay half the bills. On my own, apart from my Bf staying over for the weekend, over 13 days I used an average 7 units of electricity a daysport-smiley-001.gif it would have been lower but the other sharer has things on standby that I couldn't switch off. In the two days since the other renter has been back the house has been lit up like a xmas tree and we have used 17 units angry-smiley-030.gif

I am on budget for my spend this month and resisted an impulse buy in Lidl's like a good un.angel-smiley-002.gif

action-smiley-033.gif Getting on with my tidying up computer files until I get bored then I'll start making xmas present cross stitch picture cards for rellies.

NSD and NPD today. Vitually free food - homegrown toms and cucumber salad for lunch and homegrown ratatouille for tea.

Also potted up some herb cuttings for the garden, ready for next year.

Planning to enter some comps too.

Good luck someone was supposed to arrive to do ours Friday and first he called to say he was running late and then to say he had a family problem and couldn't come. We told him we wouldn't rebook!

I sold something on Ebay last night so will make £75 from that after costs. I have a couple of other bits listed too which should hopefully make another £100. I just need to drag out the other bits I have been meaning to sell.
