We had a NSD too although I did use a small amount of diesel as we went to the local park for a while. I am getting the urge to take the dogs for a walk and sit outside a pub for a few hours. I'll just keep trying to resist though0

This week I have:
- Transferred Opinonbar funds to OP pot
- Transferred ebay profits to OP pot
- Two NSDs (working away
)
- Claimed credit balance back from O2 & transferred to OP pot
- Stuck to shopping list
- Reduced gas standing order to reflect reduced usage
- Used bottle of champers from cupboard (stockpiled when half-price) to bulk out birthday present (hope they're not reading this!!
)

Shopped as per shopping list and used a stack of vouchers.
Frozen fruit bought at the Pick Your Own for use in future cakes and puddings.
Bought books from the charity shop as I know from experience it works out cheaper to buy them at 25p a time than run up the inevitable fines at the library for forfgetting toi return books!
Collected a parcel from the Sorting Office that turned out to be four free low energy lamps from British Gas.
About to go to Lidl to buy the bits and pieces that work out cheaper from there than Tesco.
This evening I have several bits and bobs to purchase online so shall see how many can be bought through Quidco.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Ok, in the last few days I have:
- checked supermarket prices on line before going to Morrisons (everything I bought was same price as Asda if a single item, they obviously compare prices , or a BOGOF etc.
- bought remaining toiletries & fabric cond from Wilkinsons, after checking out other cheapo shops
- done a meal plan which I WILL stick to
- bought birthday card from cheapo shop
- done some surveys & lots of comps
- posted last of ebay stuff
- applied to new mystery shop co
Today I will:
- do 2 mystery shops
- persuade DS to do one for me tomorrow (didn't check paperwork & although job booked for today it clearly says shop shut . Will ring 1st just in case). DONE
- look for plastic box to put all ebay stuff in -not just items for sale but padded envelopes, tape etc which clutter up study DONE - room no tidier though
- look for stuff to ebay
- look out on freecycle for books to take on holiday DOING HOURLY
- sort out a new shelf for utility room - one which will hold cookery books without falling out of wall
- wear pedometer to monitor walking so I can work out a baseline figure prior to get fit campaign starting (em, monitoring may take some time)
- write a complaint letter about faulty deodorant DONE
- do some DIY jonbs, starting as soon as I post this:
* peel labels off lights in ensuite, 18 months after fitting DONE
* tidy up paint round them DONE
* tidy up round light switch DONE
* paint damp stain paint on utility ceiling where shower leaked DONE
- check for on line surveys & see if I have any cash or vouchers I can claim
That'll do for a startA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Well, by some miracle I had a NSD yesterday. That's unheard of for a Saturday! I took myself off for a long bike ride then had homemade pizza for tea with ingredients I already had in.
The food challenge is going well. I had my veg delivery on Thursday but haven't bought anything else and am determined to last until payday. I think I can make my petrol last as well. It'll be a good incentive to cycle to work as much as possible next week which will also have the added bonus of helping shift a few pounds before I go on holiday in two weeks.
Keep up the good work everyone.0 -

Believe it or not, I have gained £45 today simply by completing my tax return and it working out that they owe me!:j :j :j Howzat!
Also, I've been given an electric bike for my "Hawaii" birthdayto do my Kleeneze rounds so I won't have to use my car so much - which is great because Sassy, my VW transporter with its eight seats, took £90.23 in diesel on Saturday

I very nearly didn't cycle in but forced myself to get in the shower and get ready for work. It did the trick and by some miracle I absolutely flew to work. Just a shame I forgot to reset my cycle computer as I'm sure it would have been a record.
I also brought in lunch so am heading for a NSD!0 -
Went out yesterday for one or two bits and bobs and did a price comparison around the town centre before I bought anything. Saved a fair bit by not just automatically going into Boots, and found deodorant on BOGOF at Asda too. Also got the deodorant wipes I wanted for 38p a pack!
Have done some online orders for stuff I needed tonight - chuffed to find 15% cashback from Holland & Barrett. 5% from Petmeds on the cat's flea treatment too - and bought 6 doses for only £1 more than I pay in our local chemist for 3. :T Finally the perfume that OH is buying me for my birthday - £10 cheaper than Boots and 6.5% cashback.
Spent a bit of time yesterday evening cooking fish pie for tea tonight - and cooked double the quantity of potatoes so half could go in the freezer. Made a jelly tonight for puddings later in the week and used some of my gorgeous fresh raspberries from the PYO.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Finally managed a NSD yesterday - first one for ages!
Did another overhaul of our savings & bank accounts, checking that we're getting the best rates etc, and scraped together the 'bits & bobs' to make another overpayment - £50 - better than the usual month which seems to be about £30 - yippee!
Counted up the change in "WOL", the wise old mortgage owl too - only £6.02 at the moment = disappointing, but I have been trying to take out £10 less in spending each week, so I guess that means I am having less 'spare change'. Put it back in for now - I only pay it in when it gets to £10 (or multiples therof!).
Finished meal plan for the next 10 days, and made detailed shopping list, after 'shopping' from the 'storecupboard list' which I made a couple of weeks ago. Was planning on going Thursday being as it's a new month, but DH has to go collect a parcel after work so we'll save the diesel and do a supermarket trip at the same time....just got to keep him away from any beer/cider/lager deals which might be on, and stick to the list!!!!!
Have a good one, everyone!
