. Have been sneaking it into porridge and even though it tasted past its best, no one noticed!!

Not quite NSD, but only spent 50p.
Parcelled up 3 ebay sales.
Changed BT DD - only have line rental at £30ish per quarter but they took 17.50.... have changed to £9 till I've clawed back what they owe me.
Washing, tumble drier & dishwasher on Economy 7.
Conversed in fluent(ish) Spanish by email (thanks Babelfish) and got a booking for apartment. That will be money in the gatito (kitty
) towards running costs so won't need to raid offset :T.
Emptied Peefer the mortgage pig - £50 going into offset tomorrow.
Searched for mystery shops - zilch .
Doing expenses tomorrow so will see what I can claw back on massive credit card bill _pale_, otherwise July's OP will be taking a hit.
Checked comps - won a prize , but only a tshirt, don't think I can sell it.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I have also bought some low-engery spotlights (GU10) from ebay to try out. I have spotlights in 3 rooms of my house (study, utility & kitchen) and they are very expensive to run. I'll try out the led low-energy bulbs and if they are OK I'll convert the other rooms to them.
Well the low energy spotlights weren't much of a success. I bought GU10 fittings with 21 'Warm light' LEDs in them. The reason they use less energy is because they don't give out any light. I have six recessed spotlights in my small study. It was converted from a garage so you can imagine what kind of size it is. When it was dark I put on my new low-enerygy LEDs with a TaDaa! What a disappointment. I could just about see the pc in the corner and they gave off enough light to avoid tripping on the rug, but not enough to work by.
On a more positive note, I have changed my water heating timer to only come on in the evening. I the morning I have a shower (heated electrically) and DS has a wash but there is enough warm water still in the tank for a comfortable wash. I just don't need to add some cold to it. I wash up the breakfast dishes, but again there is plenty of water for this. Hopefully that will cut down on my gas use. Every little helps, as they say...Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Yesterday I:
Cancelled a mortgage protection policy that had somehow got lost in our DD payments and we really don't need it (covered in other ways). This saves just under £22/month.0 -
Brought lunch to work for the first time in years.
Lentil soup and a salad (tomatoes, spinach, feta cheese, olives, cucumber, balsamic vinegar).
Not only will I save money, this keeps my blood sugar even, so I won't "crash" in the afternoon, as I would if I'd had a jacket potato or other refined carbohydrates.
If afternoon tiredness or irritability  is a problem for you, Google "reactive hypoglycemia".
Also, a lot of the vegetables I buy I don't get around to eating. This is the best way of making sure they don't get thrown out.

Hi all
Well my Ebay sales are nearing 60 quid but that is needed for something for my car  so wont be used for the mortgage savings. Still I have a few more items to list and this is spurring me on to list them.
The last few days have been NSDs for me and so should tomorrow and Friday :T . The concept of NSDs is something that often seems quite strange but it has really grown on me when you realise what all the cans of diet Coke, newspapers, lunch time treats actually add up to.
I did my piggy comps today, a 10p onepoll survey, have checked for ms and have been entering some comps. So am trying to be good!
I keep thinking there is something but I am missing but it is probably just my sanity.
Anyways enough waffling for today.Debt Free - done

Hi everyone,
Hmmm on this page, 3 of the 5 posts (so far are mine:o , maybe I am too obsessed or maybe I just need a dairy:rolleyes: )
Today I have had a NSD and have left the car at home, OH and I are having dinner with his parents and with having dinner at my mums this week and OH doing a ms for a supermarket our total food bill is about 10 pounds :j
I have finally gotten round to sorting out consumer pulse so will send off for the 20 pounds of vouchers tomorrow. I have also done about 40p on surveys on Onepoll and got 5pp. I have entered a few comps but its too hot to want to do many!
I sent 3 Ebay sales for my family. I will also check my online banking when I get home, just to make sure everything is going to plan. For the first time in my life I am actually paying into a savings account and it does feel great!:jDebt Free - done

I've finally had a NSD today as work provided a yummy lunch. Been pretty good spendwise this week. Was away with work for a couple of nights so dinner paid for, although I really didn't need to fall for the 2 for £3 offer when I had a chocolate craving afterwards:o . Cycled in yesterday so saved on petrol and I'm going to see if I can make the remaining petrol I have last until pay day next Thursday. I'm in the office every day next week so don't have an excuse not to cycle!0

-and they'll all sleep tonight......Mortgage free 04/03/2025. Thanks to this site and lots of overpayments bit by bit.
