today i have done pigsback, done 1 valued opinions survey, and sold a book on greenmetropolis (but not a terry pratchett one, ha ha!)!Mortgage free 04/03/2025. Thanks to this site and lots of overpayments bit by bit.
Next stop: house repairs, holiday fund, replace our very old cars, more financial security/early retirement savings.🤞0 -

Well if you want any, I've plenty on there!
I am going to add another 14 items to eBay and do Pigsback clicks. After the first task, I don't think I shall have any energy to do anything else.

Hi everyone!
I listed two more items on Ebay yesterday, my other 2 items are now totalling 27 pounds, with a week to run, so I am very pleased with that!
I have taken a potato and some left over baked beans to work and they both needed using up.
I have done my piggy clicks - 10pp and done surveys worth 50p on One Poll, checked for mystery shops but couldnt see anything. I will also enter some comps in a bit.
I had another win yesterday - a Wheres Wally hat. My OH thought it was most amusing. Maybe it will sell on Ebay!Debt Free - done

Today I have shared a ride to work which I estimate saves me about £2 a day. I still have yesterday's lunch in the fridge as I had a meeting with lunch provided yestaerday so I didn't eat the lunch I brought in.
Last weekend i bought a carpet sweeper so i don't have to get the Dyson out all the time. It seems to be working so far; even DS used it after loads of dried-on grass fell off his school shoes!
I have printed Martin's tip of the 2-4-1 main course in Pizza express as we like it in there, so it will be good to go there and get a free meal for a change.
On Tuesday (5p listing day) I listed some items on ebay. So far I have a £20 bid on one item - nothing yet on the rest but I live in hope.
I got some courgette plants and will plant them out this weekend as I love courgettes and growing my own guarantees a plentiful supply during the summer.
I have also bought some low-engery spotlights (GU10) from ebay to try out. I have spotlights in 3 rooms of my house (study, utility & kitchen) and they are very expensive to run. I'll try out the led low-energy bulbs and if they are OK I'll convert the other rooms to them.
I think that's it for now. I'll have a look for more ebay stuff this weekend.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Today I plan
- a no petrol day
- to stick to meal plan
- piggy clicks and any surveys that come in
- shopping with a strict list - don't need much anyway
- sort out and refine financial paperwork (looking for savings which can be made) once i have put together flat-pack shelves which will house it

Yesterday I:
- Bought 5 lbs of mince (good stuff from the butcher) and batch cooked it with the usual - carrots, onion, beef stock, thyme, chopped tomatoes and puree. The froze into 16 portions as a base for future con carne, lasagne, bolognese, cottage pie....Hopefully stopping the 'haven't got anything in let's get a takeaway conversation'
- Avoided even looking at the other things in the farm shop that we didn't need in the farm shop
- Bought my fruit and veggies from the greengrocer (cheaper than supermarket)
- Avoided the saturday boredom shopping trips (e.g. let's go to Waitrose home for something to do')
- Realised I get more pleasure from saving money than spending it
- Sold something on eBay for £36

Quick catch up from me.
In the last week or so I've mostly been away from home so turned off the hot water and appliances.
I managed to stay away from the expensive hotel bar and work paid for all food so a cheap week!
I had a fantastic, cheap weekend away hiking in the Dales. Stayed in a Youth Hostel and mostly self-catered. I was looking forward to a good pub meal on Saturday night but was too tired so happily settled for takeaway pizza and saved money into the bargain. Work mileage paid for half the trip as my meeting was en route.
Piggy clicks done.
Accommodation booked for the last night of my holiday. I arrive back at Heathrow too late to get home so have found a cheap room in a uni hall of residence in London.
I'm going to try not to go food shopping for the rest of the week. I've had a delivery of vegetables so will just have to be creative with what else I have in stock.0 -
NSD for me. Just realised too that I'm having so many NPDs that I haven't filled the tank for three weeks - and it's still nearly full! Yesterday I finally finished the oatmeal that expired 2 years ago. Have been sneaking it into porridge and even though it tasted past its best, no one noticed!!
When I was growing up, mum used to sneak half gone off veg into cake, not carrot or beetroot or veg that actually works in cake, but half gone off brussel sprouts (*searches for the vomit emoticon*). Best thing of all is I find normal cake far too sweet these days!!Updating soon...0
