I have given OH my offset details in the hope the solicitor will allow him to put the money in there direct from the sale. I am guessing it might be in issue as its not in his name but we'll see. Have posted off 6 parcels for ebay purchasers today - another £50 worth.
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Today I got my application pack for a new 1st direct bank account, they promised £100 for opening and £100 if you aren't happy and close within 12 months, but the pack only mentions £100 if you close, oh well I'll go ahead with it anyway, and close it in 6 months and get £100LindsayO

Today I've booked/planned flights, car, hotel & car park for work. I'm getting good deals for work & I've got around £10 cashback & 2000 piggie points :j .
Apart from that and PO for ebay a NSD! :jA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I'm a newbie to this thread. I had a NSD today ( hubby moaning about no paper to read!) but I'm not sure how this is benefiting the mortgage! Should I put the cost of the paper in a piggy bank? It's still in my purse so no doubt I will spend it tomorrow!!!Mortgage free in 2014 :beer:0

Been a good day - saw the penny jar behind the TV and thought I would count it up - combined with the mortgage pig I have managed an overpayment of £70 :j
I have even hauled my butt out of bed early enough to car share with the other half - this should save us around £40-70 in diesel each month so got to be worth the early start.
Well done everyone - so nice to be in contact with others looking to reduce the mortgage - and what an awesome thread. :T
My scary bit for today - I had to put the oven on for tea and cooked everything in there in one go - including the bread for other halfs lunch tomorrow
Every little bit helps - said the lil boy peeing in the sea0 -
I am going to have to bite the bullet and prepare some listings of really low value items (but lots of them) for ebay as they are having a 5p listing day on Thursday.....
Otherwise, just a non fritter day planned.
It's really inspiring seeing just how much everyone is doing, on a daily basis, in order to bring their mortgages down!"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris0 -
Today I will:-
Find out what jabs we need for our hols and how much they'll cost.:rolleyes:0 -

Today I will/have:
Called Virgin Media to ask about them matching Sky's £16 per month package and they have done better than it, saving at least £10 per month and we are getting V+ installed next week for nothing (saving £150).
Working from home so shouldn't in theory spend any money, although we do need bread, but may be able to last until tomorrow without getting any.
Plan on listing preparing a load of ebay listing tonight while DH is out ready of the 5p listing day on Thursday.
Also need to finish the upholstery covers I'm doing for the camper van will will have saved us around £200 by the time they are finished cause I have done them myself.0
