Been lurking and being inspired by your posts for a bit...

NSD here yesterday - aiming for the same again today (haven't brought packed lunch :( but planning to buy lunch using Boots points) and hoping that posting this in advance will act as an extra motivator :D
  • NSD today for me too - got up early this morning and went to gym, used showers there so didn't have to put water on this morning at home! Made sandwich for lunch so no buying one in the canteen at work. Im planning on having poached eggs on toast for tea when I get home from work (I already have the eggs and bread for that).

NSD at last :j . Also entered lots of comps so hopefully lots of prizes coming my way  . But best news is that my query on quidco has been successful - £120 coming my way soon so that's £240 off the mortgage (OH matches me  ).

Come on folks, not long till next update, keep fighting the good fight :T

Have just switched my energy suppliers,
I of course used Quidco where I could. Will be updating my budget later and seeing what else I can cut as haven't really done this properly for a few months.
Should also be a NSD, have to go into the office later but borrowing a season ticket for the car park next door at the moment so no charges.

Didn't manage a NSD yesterday. I cycled into work and got soaked so had to go and buy some dry socks and pants. Lesson learned! I did manage to find 3 pairs of socks for £1.99 though so not so bad. I'd brought in a sandwich so didn't have to buy lunch.

Cycled in again today so no bus fare/petrol but I need to buy some lunch and a birthday card for my mum. I've applied for the Greggs voucher mentioned in the e-mail so hopefully a cheap lunch!
  • Hi All

Just discovered this thread - fantastic!:j

Chickadee - just in case you're not already on to this, you can cut costs on the isotonic drink by buying a drum of powder and mixing it up in an empty water bottle... i used to get mine from Holland and Barratt but suspect you can cut costs further on the net. Sounds like you're going great guns on the OP though so you're probably already doing this!

zebedy - I'd pay you commission to list my ebay stuff! I've been too nervous of narky buyers and non-payment to go there (pathetic I know!) You just hear about some ebaying nightmares on here. if anyone has any top tips on doing ebaying well, i'd love to hear them as I can definitely earmark a whole load of stuff that needs to move on!

I usually sell stuff through work - we have a sales email list you can post to. I sold 2 items today and have made £90 although this is going towards my personal "debt" to our joint account and not in the OP pot :o

Am definitely going to go back to the beginning and read this thread properly to get some good ideas...

    Cheers

  • BTW can anyone fill me in on the daily clicks? I use quidco for buying stuff but clearly am not up to speed on clicking!

Sorry I can't help with daily clicks. I just do pigsback but I know there are a lot more out there.

Today I have been feeling a little better so I have weeded half of the allotment and put in new tomato and spinach plants that someone gave me. I will work on marketing for our own business now (should have already started!!) We are having allotment salad later with a pizza.

Tomorrow I will weed the rest of the allotment and continue to work on marketing.

NSD here but not much extra earned (after my normal wages) - that will be my next area to work on! I suppose promoting our business does bring in money, but because we reinvest it, it doesn't actually over pay the mortgage!
