Hi Guys!
Weather is still nice here today, just a little cooler which is great!
I feel quite washed out today, so just having a lazy day.
The WM has been on twice, DW is just about to go on and I have cleaned the toilet:D I got a great dela on Ebay with 24 tea towels which are very good quality and they need to be hung out on the line to dry once the WM has finished. Dinner is all prepped (sp) for tonight.
Our garden furniture came yesterday and its lovely. Already had about 3 cuppas out there.
Anyway, I need some lunch.
Hugs to all.

I have been extending my repertoire (which is why my bum is so big).
Have been trying to convince DH that the weather is too warm for his favourite dish! He will now eat lentil and split yellow pea soup - breakthrough!!!! It is too warm for that too!
Have been making lentil dal, onion bhaji, kofta korma and split pea curry - not all on the same day.
If it were up to DH he would live on home made soup and home made bread rolls!!!
If it were up to my two DDs at home at the moment it would be nothing but spag bol, home made pizza, lasagne or marinated chicken with spicy potato wedges!!!!!
Have found that if I saute cabbage with onions and apple even my lot will eat it all up.;)
Was going to make home made burgers tonight but as youngest DD's mouth is still tender with her brace it seems unfair on her.
Might just do home made loaf and do a salad type buffet."This site is addictive!"

Afternoon all,
DD4 needs pc from 2 onwards, so that is my excuse for doing all my bits and bobs here now...OH is watering garden, so that will save me another hour or so.
Windy here to-day but nice and sunny, must search the house for any washing so that I can get it dry in this wonderful weather.
Pippad...hope that things are speeded up by now and that you have good news soon;
Mrs Mix...hugs to you and your dad;
dlb...congratulations on weight loss...;
Hester...can you afford to take a lodger break to allow you recover your sanity??
Slowly fading...good luck this afternoon;
N9eav...sorry to hear about your veggies...but rabbits are so nice and cuddly, aren't they??
PenPin...good to hear you sounding chipper this morning;
Aussie....try knocking on the door...waste is terrible...but take off the balaclava when you knock!
Poggie...glad to hear that OH is home, hope everything is fine soon;
Catznine...you would recommend dehydrator then? Had loads of apples last year and gave lots away rather than waste, dried some in oven, but would consider investing in dehydrator if they work well;
Smoky, Anniestar, Anniebl, Hilstep and anyone else I have forgotten or who needs one...hugs
Another bbq this evening I think...keeps kitchen clean and tidy!
Have a good day all,

Shez, I have just nearly spat my sandwich over the laptop,
I must admit I have been longing to get out and get the front garden sorted, but the grass around the edges it long ( no strimmer) so just can't do it
I'm too scared :rolleyes: I have found froggies in the long grass before :eek: :eek: :eek: 0 -
Right, I'm back. What a lot has happened while I've been out!
SLOWLYFADING - lots and lots of luck to you!
SHEZ - he's a lovely frog but I'm sure RedRuby would prefer the handsome prince he'd turn into if she kissed it! Sorry, RedRuby - I couldn't resist it!
ELONA - ouch! Hope your underarms aren't too sore.
ESSEX-GIRL - I hadn't heard about the CPC; thank goodness my DH would not have to do it - he hates sitting down writing and four hours would do his head in!
(((Hugs))) to PENPIN - you take it easy, girl; feeling washed out is horrible especially in this hot weather.
(((Hugs))) to Mr MUMMYSAVER
(((Hugs))) to Miss MONEYPENNY
R.MAC - welcome back - glad you had a good time at CPs!
TIREDMUM - I've also seen those lines advertised - they look like a brilliant idea. Please let us know how you get on with it!
Well, I've been out to two banks and one Post Office - of course the longest queue was in the PO, but I got talking to a lovely elderly lady so I didn't mind. Parking is at a premium in the village at the moment - the last resort one which everyone tries to avoid was the only place left with spaces and then half of them were being re-tarmacked! Everyone seemed to be ignoring the white lines so I had to squeeze my car in - I once got 'done' for parking over a white line in a parking bay and I've never got over it! £20 fine! It's probably a lot more now. You should have seen me shunting back and forth making sure I was between the lines!
The only treat for today was a new baking tray from Sainsbury's - their 'Basics' range of non-stick baking tins is really good value. I bought the roasting one a couple of weeks ago and decided to get one more - 99p, which is very good. The non-stick is excellent quality. I've had some of the round sandwich tins for ages now and they still look brand new even though I use them several times a week.
Anyway, DH will be coming back for lunch; well, so he says - he's starting a bedroom en-suite conversion in the care home he does a lot of work for and they usually spoil him if he hangs around at lunch time!
It's quite breezy here at the moment which I don't mind - I think it would be unbearably hot if it wasn't.
Well, I'd better go and do something constructive - like have a cup of coffee.
See you all later.

Me again! :hello:
Had a busy-ish morning.
Did WM load and its out on the line.
Did breakfast dishes.
Went to surgery picked up prescriptions,
had them filled,
went to Asda to return DD's clothes as they don't fit, couldn't get them replaced as those were the biggest sizes they did :rolleyes: so got a refund.
Picked up a couple of bits and pieces while I was there.
Came home and started on the Bounty Balls that I mentioned on another thread (they do look rather scrummy).
Went back out to try and get DD some shorts - got them.
Filled up with petrol at Sainsbugs as I had a voucher for 5p off per litre. :j
Popped into office as I'm trying to sort something for an OSer - no joy just yet. :mad:
And now I'm here! phew!
Need to make lunch soon and get the BM on as I have no bread. May make pizza dough to freeze too.
slowlyfading good luck with the exam. DS is doing his mocks this week and is so laid back he is almost horizontal. :rolleyes: He decided at 8.15 this morning that he should probably takes some coloured and HB pencils with him as he was doing an Art mock. Could he find any of them? No! :mad:
Pippad hope things go speedily for you - though it's not looking like at the moment.
Bye for now. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Hi Everyone, I'm back :hello:
Wow it's been a long time! All the while I've been biting my nails because I don't know how to live without the internet!
I have lost weeks of my jobhunting time due to Virgin Media's absolute stupidity. First they sent the technician to Nottingham (we're in Hartlepool), then told us he'd be there the next day, but it was actually 2 days later. That's 2 whole days that I lost, because I had to stay in the new house (which was empty except for a chair) waiting for them to show up.
If I'd been working, that would have been about £90 that they made me lose, not to mention my TIME.
But anyway, now I'm here and it's goin to take me HOURS to catch up.......GC March Wk1 £28.72/£30 Wk2 £28.4/£29

RedRuby - how about taking a broom and 'sweeping' the grass at arm's length first? That should force out any lurking frogs. It must be horrible to be kept inside during the day by them. My maybug fear only keeps me indoors after dusk (when they seem to become active) and then only during May. My DH laughs because I only fear them from 1st May and I feel safe to go out again at dusk from 1st June! As if they stick rigidly to the calendar! I did get once get chased by a stag-beetle and, when we went camping in France years ago, a huge locust chased me into the tent! I watched the second Indiana Jones film that I had recorded last night and couldn't look when they did the insect scene!
Anyway, I do sympathise, honestly.

I have had such a busy morning, bathroom has had a good scrub, god rid of all the linescale around taps, washed lounge curtains one at a time, they are too big to go in together, hung them out, got one back in and hung it, the other one is nearly dry, hoovered car out :A ( i hate doing that ), and I have stripped all the covers off of the sofa, washed them and hung them out. Should smell lovely and fresh tonight. Just having a lunch break and will then prep dinner, have decided to roast the chicken thighs, and do cubed roasted potatoes in the oven with garlic and onion, delish, also got some asparagus, and french beans.
Well better get on xx0
