:hello: Hiya!
I haven't posted for almost a week as I seem to have been soooooo busy with work and life. Also, DH is in the middle of writing his school reports which have to be submitted via the internet so I can't get to the computer easily.
I hope everyone is happy and healthy.
Hugs to Smoky.
The weather is fab and my hayfever seems to be getting better, so whatever it is that I'm allergic to has eased off at the moment.
We had a busy weekend as we went to my niece's first communion on Saturday and then back for a party in their garden.
On Friday I went out for a meal to celebrate my 40th birthday (which is over the May half-term holiday) but it was the only night we could all make it on. We had a lovely meal and my friends arranged a birthday cake for me to brought out in the restaurant. Unfortunately the waitress dimmed the lights and brought it out when I was in the toilet. :rotfl: When I returned from the loo everyone was looking at me and I had no idea why. However, on the 2nd occasion I wasn't in the loo! It was a lovely gesture though.
Yesterday I did some shopping in both Asda and Tesco and today I helped out at the church drop-in and cleaned the house from top to bottom. I'm not in work tomorrow but I need to go and buy a new printer as our old one (which is only 18months old) doesn't print very well and I've tried cleaning everything on it and I'm fed up with constantly replacing the ink cartridges.
Tonight's tea will be chicken salad in pittas with rice, followed by strawberries.
Have a good evening.0 -
Have just had a call from my Mum to say she and partner are coming for the weekend, I wrote in my post this morning that I was going to empty a bedroom completely for a makeover, well I did and stacked all of the furniture in the other double bedroom so that only leaves a single spare room.
I've primed the headboards and bottom bits of 2 single beds and they're in the garage, the carpet has been taken up and the curtains down.
I suppose I'll have to move everything back into the empty room now, and clean the stacked b/room once it's emptyed.
I told my Mum what I had done today only then did she tell me of her plans to visit, love my Mum dearly but, Oh what timing !! Oh well a busy day again tomorrow.:(
Came in from painting and smoothied some soft melon, bananas and pears. DH is having cold meats with bubble and squeak I'll have a salad and I think a few glasses of vino.
Much love and hugs to lots in need for one reason or another.0 -

Hi Gang, just a small post as I am slowly going mad! Am getting better so hopefully will be properley back soon. I haven't read anything for ages so will spend the next few days getting up to speed. ((((((((( HUGS))))))))) to all. I will read and reply to my PM's tomorrow(honest). Not much happening except vile medecine, DR's, x rays(hurt my ribs coughing:o ) GOOD NEWS managed to get something to wear on the telly but BAD NEWS haven't managed to do much research so will make a total fool of myself
(no change then:rotfl: ) All I have to do is to prove that I am healthy enough to appear on the show. I have missed you all so much and am DELIGHTED to be "back home"
Finally for now can't say too much in great detail but do watch the press re the "great SATS marking fiasco"(try the TES website) or hopefully the press will shortly pick it up. Thank God I am not doing it this year. Stunning.
Anyway I will get off for now but will be back tomorrow. Have a wonderful evening. I hope YOU are well and happy. I have so missed you all. Ann xxxxxBlind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.
