Right you lot, keep all fingers crossed for me. I'm off to hospital tomorrow for tests. If I'm not back by Thursday, send out a search party
I have to make a joke of it as I'm secretly scared:o0 -
Evening Guys!
I dont normally post this late but dont feel too tired and have too much going around in my head ATM. This time next week the op will be over with. My main fear is not seeing DD and OH again and I dont know how to make myself feel better about this.....I feel quite low this evening:cool:

PP - just read your post and (((HUGS))) to you as well - its good to think that this time next week it will be over, im sure you will be fine - we will all be thinking of you, and wishing you well xxx0 -
Good luck AB. I hope it all goes well. We will all be thinking of you. You might like to wear a beanie to cover those ears as well. Wouldn't want to frighten the nurses.
Well about 5 mins after I posted yesterday arv the power went off  and didn't come back until midnight. DH arrived home late at 9pm. Flicked through some books by candlelight & listened to my ipod. Off to the mainland shortly for the day.
My DD has a fear of moths.I hate toads. I mowed over one, one day and it's arm & leg etc flew around the place. It was disgusting. I had to race inside & calm myself before I could continue.
My DH bought a T-shirt with the words *I live with fear everyday, and sometimes she let's me out.* and loved wearing it.
Thankfully it's long gone now.
Cat She will love that. I will give you my address later for further bouts of generosity.
Busygirl We guessed you were busy.Lovely for you to pop in.
Haribo Seems to have gone AWOL again too. Her grass can't be that long.
Well best get cracking. Have a restful night. I hope to report back later saying the apprentice did an amazing job on my hair. :rolleyes:Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

BBC3's been good at that sort of thing recently - showing programmes about teen mums who take their responsibilities seriously and have goals in life, rather than the "chavs destined for a lifetime on benefits" approach that usually gets portrayed in the media (well, when I say media, perhaps I mean the Daily Mail
)
Oh i wish I had seen that - I will watch out for it to be repeated. I started watching that Britain's youngest grandmothers the other week and got so peed off tthat I switched it off after 5 minutes - dd(18) said I should have stuck with it as it did get more positive later on. I'm a young nana - all my dreams for dd and my confidence as a parent went up in smoke when she announced one mother's day that she was pregnant at the age of 14 - It was, in the end a fanstastically positive experience all round and she is a fantastic mother. I think we have some wonderful young mums here as well and it's high time they were reflected in the media more .... ok off my soapbox - will read the rest of the thread nowI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -

Aussie...how did the orange rustling go?
You musn't have read my earlier post.Somebody lives there, but I'm going to see them on Thursday to see if I can have or buy some. Marmalade, here I come.
PP That is quite normal. Once when I had an op, the surgeon who was lovely, came out specially to talk to me to alleviate my fears. He was a bit of all right too might I add. They will all put your mind at ease.

Hello all,
Arkonite...wishing you lots of good luck with your tests to-morrow:
PennyPin...know how you feel...when I had my hysterectomy in 1987 I had 7 children ranging from 6 to 16 and became convinced that I wasn't going to survive the anaesthetic, so said good bye to all and sundry and was quite calm about the whole thing...when I started to come round after the op I obviously felt that my only hope of survival was getting moving and tried to get out of bed ( including all the post op tubes etc!) so many times that the hospital hired an agency nurse to keep me there! But 21 years on I am still here and getting on with things, so try not to panic, I'm sure that you will be fine, deep breaths now....
Hugs to all in need or want

I know you are very scared about the op next Monday, I don't know anyway to make you feel better, but I do recommend you are honest with your surgeon and anaesthetist (sp?) they may help to allay your fearss. (((Hugs))) to you and AB too.
