Evening Everyone
Well the last few days have been hectic, have had bad back since starting my job as room attendant but on Sunday, moved a bed and thought I had been shot in the back! Managed to finish shift, went straight to bed (at 4.30) when I got home, spent my day off yesterday mainly in bed and went to drs today, upshot is, signed off for a week and dr advised I find alternative work, spoke to HR and they were great, they do not have anything else at the moment but am ok to apply for future vacancies.
Oh also the washing machine has had a hissy fit and looks like its on the way out, it fills, washes then beeps at me cos it wont empty for the final spin, its only 3 yrs old but spoke to a mender man and he said prob best to buy a new one, disposable plates, nappies and now washing machine.
On the OS/MSE front, have not spent anything for the past 2 days apart from prescription charges and will not be spending anything for next few days, all meals coming from freezer and store cupboard. Good job I stocked up before I started this job. I do have 12 days pay to come, but will only get it after my uniform is returned which wont be till weekend.
Redruby – I don’t do frogs either, then again I don’t do moths, butterflies, maybugs, birds, spiders, wasps, bees and big buzzy flies….I am a wimp I don’t do amything that flaps, flies, crawls or hops. Not too keen on snakes either, can cope with snails and slugs, I kick them out of the way
As I have not read the thread for a few days am unsure of who is poorly so (((((hugs))))) for all those that need them.
One thing about my job made me think of this thread, each time i cleaned the loo i thought 'toilet scrubbed' lol have to say it did keep me going:rotfl:
I am feeling a bit bluuuuurrrrrrr tonight, apart from my back, thinking well where do I go from now, I took this job cos couldnt find anything else and now I cant even do that........but I know there is worse off than me so am not going to dwell on it, I will find something else.

A lot of pupils at my school missed the back page of the first English SATS paper, thus immediately dropping 20 marks!!!!!!despite warnings to turn over!!!I am in secondary teaching though, and feel it's about time SATS were scrapped as any teacher worth their salt will know exactly what level each pupil is attaining:rolleyes:
I fell sorry for the kids (and us) having to spend from January each year coaching them for these pointless tests:mad:
ps I am also absolutely pertified of birds, moths and butterflies, but love frogs:)"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Evening all
Thanks for all the comments re Katy, I'll certainly miss the money, lol, so will need to look for another lodger asap.
I've had some exciting news from DD2, Catalyst housing have a deal for first time buyers who aren't key workers & DD2 & DSIL have been told everything is in order & they can make an offer on a house, they are over the moon & will be putting in an offer in the next few weeks.
Hugs Hester

Hi Twink, I can understand now why I haven't seen you posting. You are so busy with ....... making jam, thinking/caring for your Uncle since he has been widowed only 5 months, work, library, weed, walk. Phew, worn out just typing this.
Regarding your DGS2 and the asthma, I listened to Smooth Radio today and an (expert) on the prog did say that the best thing to do to stop sneezing and having eyes watering at night is to wash the hair before they go to bed. Suppose it makes sense as pollen clings to everything, so when DGS tosses and turns his head during the night it will affect him.
I look out for anything to help as our DD2 suffers a lot with this problem.0 -
My daughter was in the first year they did SATs we were invited to a meeting about it, was told it wasnt to test children, just to make sure that all the country were teaching at the same standard.....think somewhere along the way this has been lostwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Is BIL a likely contender? Or are you keeping him atm?
On a program earlier it wasn't recommending buying property, in the short terms they seem to think there is likely to be a lowering of prices. Did you see it?
