This is the funniest thread I've read for ages
The OP is either on a wind up or is a total twonk - or both.0 -
Hi Anni, I know hun. When my mum and dad split up, my mum left everything behind and we moved away. I saw the photo album when I found my dad in 1996 so I knew he had the album of me when I was a child.Pictures of me and my brother who has a different dad to mine. Photos are so precious. It made me mad that she done that but I could not do anything about it. I have no pictures what so ever from when I was a child, so I make sure that I take lots of pictures of my son and I will treasure them foreever.x
Photos are so special and such treasures. I'm not surprised it made you mad. I can't bear to throw photos away, which is why I have so many of my friends and I, because they are special.
It's great that you take a lot of photos of your son.

fordad, it would be interesting to know how old you are. You sound as though you are very young as you were expecting other people to pay for things for you.
A bit confused and surprised that you haven't mentioned much about coping now your dad has passed away. There is usually a lot of guilt (although usually unfounded) after someone passes away after 'family troubles' but I don't get a whiff of that here.0 -
I have to say, I am sure that the OP is doing this for a wind-up. It is difficult to believe that anyone uses English so badly, but the total greed and insensitivity is beyond belief. I just cannot believe that such a repulsive person actually exists.0

What I get from ForDad's post is a distinct whiff of:
"Dad's dead, so where's my money?"
Got to be honest here, I think this is a wind up. If it's not, then ForDad has got to be one of the most selfish, self-centred and greedy people I've ever seen post on here. Seriously, I am disgusted by ForDad's attitude towards his late father and his late father's girlfriend. The house is hers. She bought it jointly with the father. This child hasn't even bothered with her/his dad for 2 years. Not once has the OP mentioned going to see the father when he was ill in hospital (mentioned that the brother went to film the dead body, mind). There's no sign of grieving on the OP's part at all...it's all "gimme, gimme, gimme"... As for the ex-wife...SHE'S AN EX-WIFE! Her marriage ended with the decree absolute came through. She has no claim for anything and no right to say she's above the girlfriend in any way, shape or form. As for you kids, I'd have !!!!ing disowned you years ago for being the callous, greedy, spoilt brats that you are. You're not bothered by the fact that your father has just died. You just want the money you think you are entitled to. I've got some important news for you - you're entitled to sweet FA, mate, and rightfully so.
You need the money? Well, go ask your lovely mother for it, then.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Just before late MIL passed away she expressed a wish that we should get some 'proper' photos of DS. We went to a local photographers (they had a like a unit in Asda) and it was brilliant. We spent around an hour, got about a dozen pics and it cost around £80. There was a nice backdrop, they were really good with DS (11 months at the time and missing his nap) and it was really worth it. We will be going back next year. You may like to try and get something like that done.
Already I wish that I had taken more photos of DS, and he isn't even 2!Always another chapter0 -

I'll never understand chat speak. No wonder a lot of people in my class failed their exams. They answered all the exam questions like: "Wot he dun wernt v.nice" etc. It makes me cringe.

I won't allow my son to write or type anything like that. It's lazy. Thankfully, he writes properly! In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

You always 'speak' with elegance, and I think that it is so helpful to be able to communicate clearly. I think it is such a shame that it is so 'uncool' to be able to write clearly.:o I even use proper punctuation & capitals when I text.
Always another chapter0
