Hi,
seeking tvl insurance for my 17 year old daughter in her name only. Tried using comparison sites but they dont seem to allow an individual policy for under 18. Haven't contacted individual companies yet. Any suggestions for best deals for a 17 year old?
thx in anticipation

Has anyone experience of the free insurance provided by Capitalone with their Credit Card? There appears to be no upper age limit and no mention of exclusions in their policy.0

My exclusions I meant existing conditions0

Sorry folks, but I have used Covermytravels for the past three years and due for renewal: Recommended on this forum. I am always screened and my pre-existing conditions are printed on my policy details. Last year with asthma and a hole in the heart, worldwide cover £68.00 at age 56.SallyD0

Can anyone confirm the likely definition of "family" for family policies please.
Some dont say, some say must be living together at the same address. directtravelinsurance from moneysupermarket says simply "any 2 adults where their dependant children are under 17."
I am looking to cover me and my long standing girlfirend (partner) who does NOT live at the same address and my dependant children (but NOT hers) - what do think?

My question is, do I have to buy a policy before I book flights or will cancellation cover start from day policy bought?
we're taking our in laws out to visit our Florida villa -5 years persuasion to take long haul so booked flights before they changed minds. They are 70 and both in good health when I booked flights in January but since then my father in law has been unwell on and off with overnight stay in hospital and ongoing tests so they have been unable to buy travel insurance - one company, columbus, said phone back in September yet they covered my friend whose son has skin cancer and a bleed on the brain from an accident no problem!
Question is, if we do get cover sorted (say today) and then have to cancel December flights to USA due to health will they get money back or not? Also if he doesn't go nor will mum-in-law as she wouldn't want to and also he would need caring for so where do we stand with her flight?0 -
Can anyone recommend an insurance that, as well as the usual European clauses, covers cruises as well. Some specifically don't and some just don't say.

Agreed. I have just bought a worldwide annual policy with pre existing conditions covered as long as they have been stable for 12 months. Excellent service, so OP NOT spam!0
