PF - sorry I can't offer any advice but hugs to you.

I'm not one of those that miss BF...it never worked with my two and I ended up using a pump for 8 months with DD - I became obsessed and used to have litres of it in the freezer. If DH defrosted too much i'd get so cross, lol, I can laugh now!! With DS I got septicemia so had to stop expressing at 6 weeks.

I've just had a lovely hour in the greenhouse planting a load of seeds that i'd collected last year and forgotton all about. Lupins, morning glory, oriental poppy, flanders poppy, majorum, thyme, parsley, loads of stuff. It's a bit late but I don't want to end up with packets of seeds again at the end of the year.

I'm hoping DH will get back from Scotland at a reasonable time as we have loads of things to take up to the allotment - spouts, broccilli, sunflowers, leeks, shallots, sweetcorn...we're starting some in pots and some straight in the ground up there to see if there's a difference.

Right, I need to do some studying. Have a good day xx

Just creating next weeks list for you all... any preferences or tasks you need adding???

*adds cleaning light shades in for Lil_me*

*waves to travis* .. nice to see you sticking around.. we aren't all bad... and your house the worst you've ever seen it is probably tidier than mine when it is tidy!!

Shell.. you nearly made me want another one then!! lol.. I actually said to my sis after Tiddles was born that she was having the next one and I'd have the one after her... and now I'm getting worried.. lol...

I have another busy week this week..

Monday - dentist for 5 of the children (hubby taking them but I have to find them!)
    Tuesday - college
    Wednesday - meeting at KIDs
Thursday - governor meeting after school
Friday - nail appointment & the grots finish fpr half term!!

In spite of that I shall endeavour to be here a bit more.. I feel like I have bossed you all around for 2 weeks while I've been rushing all over the place and doing nothing!

I REALLY need to get this hovel into some kind of order.. rather than DISorder.

I may have found someone to pass Tiddles outgrown stuff onto as well which would be great.. :D

    I'm in WGC!

WM did not come on overnight, odd as I set it not DH so washing is still washing as it were.

Had my shower so going to take the stuff up now to start DS3 room and he'll be back in time to help put it all back.

Today the Dusty Family will be holding their annual glove amnesty.

I have so far found 13 odd gloves - I kid you not. A bag has been strategically placed on the newel post for gloves to be deposited in.

    LMAO :rotfl:

Just been doing the finances and I'm amazed at how much I've managed to save in the 4 weeks I haven't been frivolous (even though I have a couple of times :o ) It was easy aswell which was/is the shocker....I also gave myself a float of around £20 a week to cover odds and sods/birthday cards or whatever.... I'm thrilled. Best thing of all, my thinking's changed... I've now formed a habit and shifting money about into different web savers every week is the norm....woo! I like having lots of little pots of money :D

Bacon scoffed....cuppa half drunk....think I'll go and do my room whilst I'm waiting for the washer to finish - I'm itching to get the sheets out on the line so I can 'watch' them - how sad is that :o

    Morning all

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: to Dusty's glove amnesty !

Caught up with a couple of my non-favourite jobs this morning:-
    • cleaned venetian blinds in living room
    • tidied understairs cupboard
Considering the fraught nature of the past week house isn't toooooo bad (if you look at it through half closed eyes that is). Mainly dust that is the problem - oh and the ususal piles of books and sewing that "grow" next where-ever I have been sitting.

Going to a birthday party in the park this afternoon - we are to play rounders :eek::eek: Now, I can't run, or hit a ball with a bat - unless it is a soft ball thrown at a large tennis raquet from a distance of about 3 feet :rotfl:, so I shall probably end up being the entertainment!

Got a big problem with a dripping mixer tap in the kitchen. Have just asked for advice on the DIY forum on how to replace, as have been advised it would be as cheap to replace as to repair and some of the chrome is wearing off anyway. Only had one answer so far along the lines of it being a b****h to replace a kitchen mixer tap in situ - in fact almost impossible and I don't want the sink and worktop removed - oh my !!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: am waiting with interest DH response to this when he gets home. Please cross your fingers he doesn't decide to try anyway (he's like that!) and leave us with either/or/and no water or a decorating job in the kitchen.

Haven't had time to read the thread for a couple of days - we were out most of yesterday having a long walk and picnic with DS2 as we don't feel he's been getting his share of attention recently and wanted to try and redress the balance a bit.

Hope all is well with everyone, have a nice Sunday.

taurus we had a leaking mixer tap about 3 yrs ago and had the same dilemma. Our sink is brown plastic and that is so not cool these days! At least not in the tap replacement market lol we ended up finding exactly the same type of tap on ebay which DH fitted without problem. The alternative was to replace the entire sink unit which in turn could so easily have meant new work top and so on and so forth  sending positive mixer tap vibes to you
