PinkFairy, don't know much about this kind of thing except in my experience trying to keep it as nice as possible between the girl and her parents. is there any way you can chat to her parents and say that if they are going to move anyway wouldn't it make sense for them to let her do her own thing before then to save extra upheaval. I guess there are potential difficulties with her moving to yours (e.g. if they split up or whatever) but only you know whether it will work out or not.
lasagne was yummy, we then watched 'Cars' on blu-ray, nice feel good film! Almost ready for bed now, just having a cuppa first. Managed to wash kitchen and bathroom floors, just a couple more tasks tomorrow though we are walking about 16 miles so they may get held over!

PF I think I mentioned about this a little when it first started, until she's 18 I am sure her parents can request the police to take her home, I remember my Dad threatening me with that one when I left home very young. The only way I could see to stop them doing so (they seem quite determined people when it comes to getting their own way) is for her to get involved with social services NOW, explaining that she doesn't want to be there etc. Of course they will likely request she does not stay with you because of her age (under 16) regardless, but her opinion and feelings need to be heard by people who can do something about it. It's a very hard situation, I really don't envy you at all but I can only see 2 choices at the moment, sit back and see how it goes when she does want to move out keeping them sweet etc or involve social services now.
Have just tidied the kitchen, my head was pounding earlier so took the boys upstairs and put Lion King DVD on in my room so they could lay on the bed with me (well ok they weren't exactly still) could have some quiet time and I could lay down with them. After that finished I sent them to bed (DS2 was determined to stay in my bed knowing Dad is sleeping on the sofa tonight) and once they were asleep I had an hour myself. I set my alarm knowing the dogs would need letting out etc and got up then, feel much better, just hoping I can sleep later.
I'm actually really hungry now, I've only had dinner and a few hobnobs today. Might see if I can find something quick and easy to make. One day I might be more organised...........

Morning peeps
Looks like I'm first up this morning (edited to say not first to post !!) - have loads to do before I go to work, including finding someone to look after DD as I forgot OH is at work!! And that also means noone to put the roast lamb in I defrosted yesterday so will just cook it this morning I think.
Washing already sorted this morning and first lot on. Gonne go and get hoover and duster out in a min.
Denise DS sleepover after the prom went well (as far as I know) no probs and no hangover!!
Belated birthday wishes to Taffy
Witchypoo, I'm biased with DS but yes he did look gorgeous if only he'd get a haircut. Think the proms are harder for girls with dresses, hair, nails to do. DS suit hire was £35 and no extras to pay for.
travispowers, near neighbour. Glad you got your shades sorted. You gonna stay with us?
embb, Have you tried Pilates to strenghten your back, its something I'd love to do but havent managed to find a class here yet. Strengthens stomach muscles as well, and please will you come and do my house :rotfl:
dougierobine try looking in shoes and wellies etc, my DD was a monster for that, and any toys that have lift up bits and cubby holes
pigpen loved the story about the shopping and DD1 is right you are loopy, its why we all love you so much
Hugs for Johanne, my OH has always worked shifts but DD slept through the night from 8 days old so didnt have toop much of a prob
Serena AOLdoing my head in at the min, and OH wont change, plus with all his add ons its costing £37 a month  . I think I've got a virus though as all sorts of carp keeps appearing and files to "download now" !
DS bless him is a good lad and is worried sick about his exams - first tomorrow. Worried he isnt ready but he's worked a darn sight harder than I ever did. Fingers crossed for him anyway
Pink Fairy, difficult one that. My brothers stepdaughter left home at 15, pregnant and was living with a drug dealer who used to beat her up. When my brother and his wife (her mum) went to pick her up, because of the row that ensued, the police were called and actually told my brother that they would arrest him if he tried to bring her home (he was going to pick her up and carry her out). There was NOTHING they could do to bring her home and had to wait until finally she woke up and went home of her own accord some months later. They were also taken to court for not sending her to school, but the judge let them off when they explained the circumstances and that they couldnt get to her, let alone send her to school!!! Good luck
Anyway this isnt getting on is it
catch ya all later

Morning everyone
Been catching up with you all over the last day or so.
Sending huge hugs to all those that need them, particularly pigpen and your sis, you are so right positive thinking is the only way to go in a situation like this. Sending positive thoughts from us 3 to go with all the others
Been a busy few days here, was working Thurs/Fri and then yesterday it was swimming in the morning with lunch out for Nannie and Grandad (Nan's bday last Thurs). A and I made treasure chests to hold the presents which Nan liked so all good there.
Looks like it is going to be a nice day here, the sun is out shining at the mo. House is a tip but then what's new! I really should get dressed and start making this place more presentable at the very least.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Morning. DS1s had me up from 5am ish but can honestly say I've done naff all really :rotfl: I couldn't bring him downstairs as DP was asleep on the sofa so laid on the bed working through next months finances (not looking too bad so far if I dare say it!), written a sort of shopping list to go with my meal plan, put some clothes away and dusted his room. Came down at 9am when DP was getting ready to go out, DS2 fed but DS1 stayed upstairs on his PC, will shout him in a mo. Suns out for now but forecast to rain later so think I will put the airer outside so it's easier to get in. All but carrots and yorkshires are prepared for dinner, think I might make myself some breakfast then decide what to do today and when.
Have a nice day everyone xOne day I might be more organised...........
