Afternoon all, seems pretty quiet on here! Still a bit more to do on my list, but have made a start and have enjoyed my chilled day with very little travelling (think i get commuting fatigue!)
Had fun in town shopping with the debenhams vouchers we got for our wedding. bought a bin, broom, bath mat (ours had gone v thin), a few good plastic tubs and other bits and bobs. nice to spend £40 and not fork out for it! :bdaycake:Happy birthday to JillD, Daisydoll, and Taffy1969!!!:bdaycake:
kaz - yes, I'm on aol, so maybe that's why we're having problems. DS1 keeps on about changing ISP, but hasn't yet persuaded OH. Very handsome young man you have there! DD has a prom after her exams - there isn't usually one for the Year 11's, as so few of them actually leave the school, but they are helping organise it themseleves. DS1 may go to the 6th form do as well, but I shall not be going mad, as I don't think it's necessary.
embb- 'tree flowery things' - you can't tease me like that - I really need a name or a picture! I shall be spending hours trying to work out what they might be...
I'm still trying to thaw out, as it has been really chilly here in Kent, and raining for much of the day. DS2 and I were at a plant show from 9am, as we were stewards, and then I had to write a review of the nurseries there. We had hot chocolate and cake mid afternoon, before coming home, but I still feel shivery inside, if you know what I mean! It was so miserable, that despite going with lots of cash, and the intention of splurging on lots of lovely plants, I came home with just one. If the weather is better tomorrow, I may just have to go back.
Nothing in the way of flying done this weekend - but I may have to do some decluttering, as it is beginning to really annoy me. Do any of you find it getting to you at work too? I quite often find myself flyladying the desk in the room I'm in, and have thought a couple of times that I should bring in a sprayer of cleaner and a e-cloth to whisk over the tables quickly...
Right, off to throw pizzas and chips in the oven as far too lazy to cook.
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
rach ((hugs)) sounds a nightmare, hope your GP has some suggestions, I am so pleased I've been on the injection then now on the implant as I haven't had to cope with a period for 7 years or something.
serena I'm on AOL and have had a few problems but mainly with this website only
Well I was going to tidy the kitchen but got distracted and ended up making hobnobs instead, **swappsies Mudbath for a muffin** may aswell make them before I tidy up being as messy in the kitchen as I am. I'd got one tray out too early, very undercooked and soft, but DS1 loves them! I think I'm going to have to undercook some every time I make them. Popcorn and fruit been and gone too, I'm feeling VERY tired, I think I might try and get an early night as my jaw is hurting from yawning
One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Bedlinen sorted and I have tidied another drawer in the kitchen as dinner not quite done. I am starting to realise that the odd extra 15 minutes here and there is making a difference.
Paperwork for me tonight -bits on the listThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Evening all
It's been gloomy and overcast all day here, so the washing's in the tumble dryer!
Johanne - ((((hugs))))
Taffy and Daisydoll - :bdaycake::bdaycake: sorry, I didn't know it was your birthdays too. I hope you've had a lovely day.
SSL - odd system, but I hope it works for you and you have lots of keen viewers with big wallets tomorrow.
Travis - why won't it come off? Is the fitting broken and if so, please be careful? I would use a soft, slightly damp cloth and please don't fall off the ladder! :rotfl:
Mudbath - any muffins left, pretty please?
I did all my dailies before I went out and we have been to the French market (DS, GF and me), but there were not as many stalls as usual. I bought some onion bread. Nomnomnom.
We've brought GF home for Glamorgan sausages, so DS and GF are making them tonight. I'm sitting with my feet up.Since we got back though, I've half emptied the fish tank, moved it and refilled it, stripped the wall where the tank was, sanded it and washed it down, and ripped up that carpet!
Tomorrow morning, as well as my dailies, I'm planning to- first coat the wall,
- use the steamer on the bare floor to lift the old glue (who glues carpet to concrete?),
- 2nd coat the wall,
- undercoat the woodwork and possibly start on that bit of flooring!
Off to take over the cooking on request then tonight, I'm going to watch TV and make bracelets!DMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes, it has been an ok one. DH isn't here so it's not really the same but I'm used to it by now, he did send me a lovely bunch of flowers and some chocs and a balloon from the kids so that was nice. I made myself a chocolate cake on request from the kids lol! And they helped me eat the chocolates too!
Not really done any flying well apart from cleaning the kitchen this morning but it looks a mess again now!
I will pay for it tommorow though as I have so much sorting to do before the plasterer comes on monday, luckily my mum has managed to get hold of someone she knows who will decorate the room for me cheaply so it'll save me doing it, I'll need to give it an undercoat myself when the plaster dries though. I have decided to get the kids bunkbeds but will get ones that can be split if they start messing about!
DD2 has her first party to go to for a nursery friend tommorow, cute!
Ok got to go xDFW no.630!

Pigpen - nah for ONCE it wasnt MIL. :rotfl:
Shell et al... I didnt mean for it to come across i was annoyed at OH.. im the one actually TELLING him to let me do the feeds and to sleep usually cos he has work (especially it being a new job...) i knew it wasnt easy starting a new job 3 days after having your first baby and know hes knackered at the mo cos of doing the training. Thats why i leave him on the sofa wheres hes quite happy sleeping so i dont disturb him getting up with her, and if hes in bed and baby cryin doesnt wake him up i'll take her downstairs to do night feeds so he can carry on sleeping .. just usually at the min he will wake up with me and volunteer to get up and help wind her and also to settle her back down (as encouraged by the midwife as im BF it helps them bond apparently if when possible he does them 2 bits of the feed) So doing them bits last 2 nights ivefound hard going as im not as good/fast as him at either of them things! So shes awake much longer and so i dont get as much rest.... I cant fault him as a dad cos he goes beyond what id expect from him.... i just really felt exhausted yesterday and so it got to me more.
Got more done on my list today as OH took DD to MILs alone and i couldnt sleep as had stuff on my mind. Will update list in the morning though as cant stay in this room much longer OH has been gloss painting and im getting a head ache!
Speak tomorrow

Evening
Just popped back to ask for advice please, as some of you know this sort of stuff. DS's GF has set her heart on leaving home as soon as she's 16. The fact that she's going out with DS and we have enough room is purely coincidental as she's apparently been thinking of this for a long time.
I decided to check on the net and have found that she can leave at 16 with parental consent and I don;t think that's going to happen easily. I did find on Shelter's website that it says you could leave anyway and Social Services would probably not forced you to go home unless you were in any danger. I think if she was told she had to stay with them for another year it would push her over the edge as she has self harmed in the past. They are also working very hard (unfortunately) to get the rest of their unpacking done (they've been in the house since Jan 07) and then they will put the house on the market. They want to move back to Hertfordshire and I know that if they go, she will be in a bad way. Her mother is determined to send her back to a school where she was being bullied and has apparently said that at least she was getting an education there. The only reason she is not attending school more often here is because her mother won't take her backwards and forwards in the car and she is not well enough to walk herself.
DS and I have an appointment with the GP in three weeks and were going to ask if she had any advice then, but if anyone else has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it.
Thank you xDMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419
