This is off topic and probably inappropriate but i feel i need a bit of a rant after bottling up some feelings for past few weeks which have come to a head this morning when i was talking to OH... possibly as im tired.. im dunno! But without having another outlet, being a billy no mates, im posting here if you dont mind even though its not directed at anyone directly and im not expecting any answers/sympathies or even responces. ok?

Urgh! There are always two sides to a story and its really annoying when people only get to see the one side as its usually biased to make the party involved whos telling the story to the world look like the innocent one and the others villians.

The social-studies student in me says its because the person telling a story will always feel the victim and see things their way so a story will always be biased and make them look hard done to. But sadly then there are cases where i think people purposely bend the truth and make the other party look the bad one just because they arent getting things their own way.

Unless the people hearing the story hear both sides its hard for them to form an honest and unbiased opinion for themselves unfortunetly and so the supposed "victim" will continue to be seen as just that despite their actions and involvement in the story. Worse thing is when their actions are actually one of the main reasons for the story in the first place but they make out they are holier than thou.

Some people in this world really need to stop playing the victim. Take responsibility for their actions and act like adults they are supposed to be and stop playing silly games and "taking my ball in" type of selfishness. There are many many bad things happening in this world - gosh this topic this week shows that only too well - and some people dont realise how lucky they are and what they really have. :(

Sorry everyone i just needed to get it all out my system...:o :o:o

Just quickly popping in to say hi, hope everyone has a lovely weekend even if the weather is poo.

Happy Birthday Daisydoll and Taffy_party_ _party_

Hope you have a lovely holiday soappie.

Just done a quick S&S in the kitchen and living room, deep cleaned the bunny's cage.

Feel free to rant Johanne, even if you dont want answers etc, sometimes just writing your feelings down makes you feel better.

Hope the viewings go well SSL, my neighbour had the same problem. I have seen his flat and its lovely, the problem was getting people in to see it. He only had about 2 viewings in a month, last week however a sold sign went up, you only need one person to come and view it, it just has to be the right person:rolleyes: Sending positive house selling thoughts your way.

    Afternoon everyone.

Feeling quiet rested today. Sam was in with us again, but woke at 3:30 and 7:30. We were lazy and didn't get up till 9  even though i could hear DS1 was awake, he wasn't fussing so we didn't get up. Can see it being a long day. DS1 has a streaming cold, so is mardy and all his bedding needed washing. DS2 was sick on our bed so that needs washing. DH's cousin sprung a visit on us, so it has spurred me on to get the hoover out and take it for a brief walk downstairs.

We have made a decision to put fat cat on a diet - we noticed when we had to pin him down to give him a flea tablet yesterday how obese he has become, so we looked up how much of his special food for cats with bad kidneys he should eat, and he has probably been eating 4x what he should be by begging us both, so we have said enough is enough - should save us a fortune, although he will then become even grumpier - especially as DH attacked him with a brush as well this morning. It's like having extra kids i swear. The kids are in fact less trouble.

Other than that, DH and DS1 are doing the supermarket shop, i have flown around while they are out, leaving DS2 asleep in the moses basket upstairs. Will see what the new plan is when they get back.

jobs to do this week by me or DH:
    • [STRIKE]supermarket shop[/STRIKE]
    • ironing pile to sort and clear
    • change water in 2x lots of flowers
    • make up spare bed for MIL staying next week
    • move some of ds's toys upstairs
    • talk to J about food options for her 40th wedding anniversary boat cruise
    • [STRIKE]hoover LR/dining room and kitchen again - especially kitchen as DH broke a glass in there yesterday and i keep finding bits of glass [/STRIKE]
    • hoover hall/porch/stairs/landing/bedrooms x3/bathroom
    • put up height chart in DS's room
    • assemble baby bouncy chair
    • [STRIKE]wash all bedding[/STRIKE], remake beds
    • DHs cousin/wife/son visiting us
    • us visit my parents
    • brush both cats and check again for fleas, put on a frontline treatment
    Extras:
    • emptied bathroom bin
    • hung up load of washing from yesterday on the airer
    • folded all dry stuff on airer that didn't need to see the iron and put away

    Happy Birthday JillD

I haven't read all your posts yet and have been off the internet most of the week but I have attempted to keep up with flying. I am getting the lads to help in the house. They are stars, have worked all week and are now boarding the lounge ceiling. They just do a bit at a time as and when they can and are trying to do a bit before the footie. DH is strimmimg next doors gardens as he is still not well enough to come home.

DD has gone to see the priest about arranging a wedding date. It is all sooo exciting.

I will read all the posts when footie is on, need to go and do some flying.

    Afternoon all :)

Thanks pigpen, lil_me and Dustykitten for your comments regarding my little rant yesterday. I realised afterwards it wasn't the kids finding out I was worried about (I knew they were not going to find out after the day had passed with no more mention) however after I got it off my chest I realised the reason it was weighing heavily on my mind was because I felt so stupid. I have a tendency to worry about what people think of me and I guess because it had popped back into my head yesterday while I was cleaning (and thus I stewed over it) it could easily be something that this cousin is also stewing over, and she might think badly of me for shhing her with my finger to my lips. I know I should not care, but it's hard for me not to care what others think of me and it is something (a personality flaw I guess) that I have been working on. I probably only see her about once a year, especially now the elderly relatives that live in North Devon are no longer with us. Well, we'll see her the week of the 26th because we are going on holiday up there, but after that we probably won't see them for a year!

Michelle I also have to deflea the cats, I have some frontline in at the moment but I need to pick up some wormer cos it's been a while. Incidentally for anyone needing to pick up pet stuff I have a code for May from Petmeds which gives 5% off and if you go through quidco of course you'll get money back there too. The code is PetDisc5 which you enter at checkout.

Happy birthday Jill, Daisydoll and taffy! I hope you all have a fabulous day and plenty of cake! :bdaycake:

Bit late now cos you've gone, but I hope you have a fab hol soappie!

Kazmeister what a smart young man! Wow makes you think! My daughter will be doing the same next year *gulp*

mumoftwo sorry to hear about your harrowing experience with the junior doc. Sometimes they can be so insensitive when they are starting out. I had a bad experience with a triage doctor at my surgery, who read another (nasty) doctor's notes about my son's asthma history and thought she knew my mothering type. She pushed the wrong buttons and I got angry with her and cried too. Actually I apologised the next time I visited, and she apologised too so it was alright in the end.

Happy Birthday to Jill and Daisydoll and Taffy:)

    Afternoon all.

Not enough washing for a load today but I managed to finish drying some stuff I washed yesterday. It's cloudy here but dry.

Just cut the back grass. Wasn't very long but we're going to visit DS for a few days from tomorrow so it will be long by the time we get back. DD will be here but she won't think of it.

Dog has been out twice today. DH just gone to shops so she is now pacing, waiting for him to get back.

Not done much else. Packed our case to go away and written notes about stuff to take.....

Feel free to vent Johanne. Not sure what you are talking about but I know it helps to write things down sometimes. Being me, I tend to assume everything is my fault. I hope it's not :(

    Hiya
Happy birthday JillD, Daisydoll and Taffy. Hope you all have a good day.

It's very quiet here with DH and children away but i'm enjoying the peace and quiet. I'm going to watch the FA cup final as I used to live in Portmouth so have seen them a few times.

Yesterday I forgot to say that the one handed massage went really well. I'm not going to tell people i'm working but if anyone is desperate or asks i'm going to do the odd treatment as the money would be rather handy. Saying that, i've cut down so much on grocery shopping and no longer wasting money on nothing that we are managing. The only slight worry is that our roof does need replacing still but not much I can do about it. It'll all work out perfectly.

    Hugs to all xx

    Afternoon all

Daisydoll, JillD and taffy a very Happy Birthday to you all!

Stuck at work today, had 1 phonecall so far:rolleyes: .

Littles friends for tea last night went well. Only one minor squabble and that was sorted out in 5 mins:D , infact they were so good I managed to get the crumble and the chicken pie made for tea tonight.

Michelle - I really shouldnt worry about DH going back to work. You will just settle into your own routine. The best bit about a small age gap is that you dont need to be out the door to get little one to nursery or school, so if you are all in your pjs all day it doesnt matter. On-line shopping was a god send I found and with the nicer weather (heres hoping it comes back:D ) charlie will have fun playing in the garden. Just do what needs doing and go with the flow hun!

Johhana - Night feeds - yep did all of them for 8 months (with both girls) until I stopped breast feeding. No offense but your OH has to go out to work so if he is worn out the next day its not gonna do him any good. At least being at home you get chance to have a nap when baby does. Maybe he could do a turn at the weekend or when shifts allow so you go for sleep in the afternoon if he is home etc. Hope that doesnt sound like I am having a go 'cos I remember how hard it is. DD1 is 5 and DD2 is 3, its only the last few months that she has been sleeping through (well till 6am ish).

Got inlaws and SIL round for tea so just need to prep veggies and spuds and throw it in the oven;) . I MUST do 1/2 on the wii fit tonight after they go and then another 30 mins or so before work tomorrow.

Right off for a mooch around and to finish my meal plan.

Travis - powers - have you used the brush attachment from your hoover? or a damp cloth. Are they fabric or glass shades?

I had a lovely couple of hours at the library and cycling round with DS2 doing local history, we found out loads of great things and I often feel that I spend more time with the other 2 (he is the easiest, most organised of the 3 so rarely asks for help).

I feel quite tired now - and cold - it rained on the way back.

Just going to check my list and see what I need to do next. Footie starting on tv so think I'll do a 45m first half challenge.
