Happy birthday to our birthday babes!!! Hope you are all having a great day!!

Johanne.. do I need to come slap that MIL?? lol I hope you feel better after getting that rant off your chest.. and witchypoo .. I am glad venting your spleen helped lol.. any time!!

Serena.. thank you.. and yes I know exactly where you all are if I need to strop a moan at anyone

M.E. .. thank you!!!!!!!!!! My sister is 26 (27 in August). The consultant said they would be more concerned about the nasty cells relocating and causing a cancer somewhere else.. but it is all a wait and see thing which is why we won't be worrying about it.. we can't stop what will happen and we will deal with whatever we have thrown at us.. I'm sure she will be just fine though..

*glares at Mudbath and her fluffy shades!*

DD1 lost a screw from her specs today so we had to get that replaced.. and she picked her new frames while she was in there.. we were in stitches when we came out.. they have a young man working there at the weekend.. about 17/18 and he clearly 'liked' my daughter.. I don't think he realised she was quite as young as she is (she's nearly 14) He looks about 12 lol. The older guy who works in there obviously likes me.. so we had a good giggle about that.. she picked her new frames and he said they'll be £110 .. I said no they won't.. so he rechecked and said oh no.. £75.50 ... erm no.. I don't think so... £60.. ok.. I'll pay that... lol... he had worked it out wrong both times... Fortunately I am very good at maths in my head. Then we went in my sisters shop.. bless her she looks exhausted... I said it does pass.. at about 3 months!! lol.. she will be being sent home early a few times I think! We bought cherries and proceeded to spit the stones at each other.. I am a good shot!! Then we went in another shop and I got in a knot with a carrier bag and had to be 'rescued' by a strange man.. lol.. DD1 thinks I am loopy!!!

Hubby is outside filling pots with plants for us and my other sister.. The middle sized pink is helping!

and.. to cap this week off... my breadmaker has just up and died on us so I am making bread by hand.. oh the fun!!! Fortunately it is still under warranty until November so it'll be fixed for free! The spindle that turned the paddle has snapped.

4am I got to bed this morning... *yawn* .. now I need a nap...

The pig is in the oven (cos I got up too late to put it in the SC) so that will be done about 5:30..

I have a rash right up both arms from eating cherries so best go throw piriton down my neck before it spreads up my face and down my body like it normally does!

Early dinner here so DP can go to work after football (had to time dinner for half time break!) Will give the kids fruit and popcorn later I think as no doubt they'll be hungry again before bed, the sort of skipped lunch just having a snack each. Need to make DPs sandwiches for work then I'll tidy the kitchen.

Have sort of finished my meal plan, I'm a squeaky little bit under my GC target and got until a week tomorrow to go so trying to work with what I have in as much as possible. It was stupid of me to aim so low when I knew we needed a meat shop etc but still going to try my best.

Sent DS2 to tidy his room and he dragged more stuff out, sod! I'll no doubt have to just help him do it as he's not going to get it done otherwise.

Big hugs for Johanne, sometimes just sharing the problem helps. I did all night feeds when the boys were little, even now if they get up it's usually me who deals with them apart from if DPs just got in from work. I know what it feels like to feel as if you are alone, but sometimes I think it's easier, we got into our own routines and when he got involved he usually just got in the way. It's the same now really, on the rare occasion he gets up before they go to school he usually does nothing to help get them ready, when he does he end up getting in my way.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

happy birthday to taffy and daisydoll too. Wow- 3 birthdays in one day - how big a coincidence is that?

johanne sorry you are feeling unsupported. It is a fact of life though when you are BF - This time will pass so quickly - as shell says, sleep when you can, and don't let it cause rows between you. I am deliberately letting my DH sleep, so then he can be awake enough to do other things like take DS1 out and the cooking at the moment.

pollybear hope you have a nice time away

Happy birthday to Taffy and daisydoll, I hope all you b'day peeps have a great day.

pigpen hugs for you and your sister. I do think you have the right attitude towards things. There is no point worrying about what might happen, enjoy now.
Johanne I enjoyed your rant and agree with a lot that you have to say. And about shift work, my DH began shift work when I was 6 months pregnant with our second child, the first was 10 months at that time. At first it was hard managing night time routines etc but as soon as our two were on their feet and doing things it was great as he went to Mums and toddlers and mums and babes swimmimg etc with me. In those days things weren't so PC and he was the first to do those things in our area. He had a massive amount of time with our first three in fact. It is really a shame that they don't remember.

    I got a day off today! :j

DH is an officer at the local Boys Brigade and it was their day trip today. DS1 was going with the anchor boys and DS2 and I were invited. But I felt quite ill last night and this morning I still felt bla. SO DH asked if I wanted a rest day and took DS2 away with them! I went back to bed after making sandwiches for them and got up at 12noon! Then hoovered, did the dishes sat and watched Tin Man on sky. Then hoovered the car got junk from the shop and hoovered out the PC, which is now running a lot quieter!

Got the kids back, DH is taking the bus (that he hired for the day as he is a bus driver) back and will be home shortly.

Still haven't been to asda, will go later tonight. I feel a lot better for the rest, think I have a cold, or a cough. Taking tablets for hayfever but I have a wheeze in my chest for the past month and now a very dry and whoopy cough.

I have 2 gammon steaks for our dinner and will find something for the kids. Gammon steaks, garlic bread, new pots sounds good.

Taffy & Daisydoll - happy birthday, hope you are having lovely days

Mudbath - I'm waiting for a muffin, please!

SSL - positive house selling vibes for tomorrow. Are all properties for sale open house at those times or do you chose your own viewing times?

embb - I can't even type a list as quick as you clean but then you said it was down to practice which I'm lacking (OH did most of the house on Thursday, what a star)

Johanne - hope you get some rest, don't spend time on 'non-essential' housework

Off to do a HHC of filing/shredding (which should stand for hundred hour challenge to have any chance of finishing it)
Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli

Thank you to all who post competitions & help the smooth running of the comps board

Muffins were lovely, anyone want one?

I've been studying for my course today and it's taking a bit longer than usual as I still can't type that quickly with this hand. Grrrr! Still, i've a month to complete it and i've done all the work for previous courses so it's not the end of the world.

I've got friends coming for a drink tonight so i'll study till 730 and then have half an hour for a quick tidy up. Then it's studying again tomorrow.

    Speak soon xx
