Serena sorry for teasing you, unfortunately I don't know what the tree/bush thing is called I don't even know what make it isit's in a pot though with a long woody stem then there's lots of green foliage at the top in the shape of a ball and has purple flowers on it (B&Q website doesn't have plants cause I checked) comes in white too.....can you tell I'm not a gardener.
Kaz Pilates and Yoga did cross my mind I'm sure they would help. and yes I would quite happily come and do your house, as long as there's biccies and lots of tea in the pot, oh and a helicopter to take me back and forth seeing as you live a long way away

Morning all
yey silence reigns as they have all gone to cricket. My back is aching. The campout came to an end at 3:00am as DS3 was too cold. He came and got in with me to warm him up and even though I had made his bed up (I so knew this would happen) it did not want to budge and I was too tired to argue.
Pink I am sorry I have no advise but I did hear a radio show once which was very much along the lines of Kaz's story whereby a family were trying to get a daughter back who had left home (drugs/pimping etc) and the police did not help them (can't remember why) so they could do nothing - hugs to you all. What part of Herts will they be returning to?
Travis - I used to love upstairs downstairs - is it on cable?
Not getting far with my list - it is sunny here so going to put the washing out (in my PJs), have a shower and do DS3 room whilst they are all out.
Need to get to the shops later too. Rib of beef from the freezer for dinner - looking forward to it already and apple cake for pud. Maybe I should start with breakfast though! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning all
Travis that's just sods law. Happens to us all. Don't forget weekends are for relaxing. I work at it all week but do the bare minimum at weekends so don't feel bad. My DH doesn't even know where the vacuum is or how to use the oven lol.
We're off to Milton Keynes soon. DS has a tobogganing party at the snodome. Sounds like fun. Going to drop him off and then nip to Costco to get some meat. Also need to get a light coloured t-shirt for something at school this week - why do we need these things just after I have sorted their wardrobes out. Typical.
Have a good day all.0 -
Dusty kitten It's on itv3 on a sunday morning you've just miss it I remember seeing it when I was little.Maybe, just once, someone will call me 'Sir' without adding, 'You're making a scene.'0
-
Travis - the potatoes are done because I made too many for chips so they will be turned into mash, the green beans (cooked too many ages ago) and chicken fell out of the freezer yesterday while I was trying to squeeze some bread in - no angel trust me! My DP does know how to use the vacuum cleaner, but that's all, the other Mam's were laughing at me giving step by step instructions how to use the drier over the phone, he still didn't manage it. Little and often I do usually keep on top of it but it's standing room only at the mo in her because loads of stuff has been 'dumped' on the sofas. Your lightshades are definately cleaner than mine, I can't even get the ones in the dining room off (they have been disgusting since we moved in)
Oh and speaking of darling partners, he's forgotten his fuel for one of his toys, so now I have to drive goodness knows how many miles up to near Bishop Auckland in his car (which I've driven a mile the last 8 months so will be nervous) to take it for him, which puts a stop to all of the plans I had now, grrr, grump!
DavGirl let me know if there is any goodies on offer as I think I'll need to pop to Costco next week or the week after. One day I might be more organised...........

Good morning all
It's quite sunny again today after yesterday's gloom, so I've already got one wash load on the line and another in the machine. Just finished dailies and breakfast (rye bread from the French Market), although a bit more tidying to do in the kitchen.
Thank you all for the advice. We've already had Social Services involved as GF was threatening to hurt herself so I contacted NSPCC for advice. They felt there were Child Protection issues and referred to Social Services. In the meantime GF turned up on my doorstep distraught one Saturday morning, SS said I had to take her back, but her parents agreed she could stay overnight. SS had a home visit, then a school one with EWO, but have said there's no further action necessary! If you could see GF when she's here and realises it's time to go home, it's like someone has turned her lights out.She is so unhappy. Apart from anything else they are clueless about her health problem. She was going to get up this morning at 5 as her father wanted her to help him to do a car boot sale! This is someone who spent several months bedridden! They are planning to return to Hatfield (Dustykitten) and when they go for a visit they usually get up at about 3.30 to travel, arriving there at about 8.00 by which time GF feels positively sick with exhaustion. They regularly leave her with her very badly behaved younger brother while they go shopping etc, and have her make dinner for the whole family when she can barely stand! I'm just hoping that our GP can offer some advice over this as she actually asked what I would do if GF asked if she could move in with us. I said "Rearrange some furniture!" hence the decorating and moving the study downstairs, so GF can have her own room. Anyway, thanks again and if anyone thinks of anything else, please let me know.

PF I'd contact NSPCC again, tell them what happened with the referal etc and say that you're unhappy that no further action has been taken etc, see if they can provide any further advice. One day I might be more organised...........

Morning all!
Not much flying done today as had to be at work for 10am. I did do 40 mins on the wii fit and have lost 1lb this week - which is not brill but at least I didnt put any on. Meant to send MIL home with half the coffee cake I made but forgot so may see if neighbours like it otherwise I know where it will end up.
Johanne - you sound more upbeat today so did you have a better night? I hope so. One of my midwifes suggested eating rich fruit cake as it has lots of goodies that go into you milk plus releases energy slowly for you. Either way it was an excuse to eat cake so I liked that idea;) . I dont get broody anymore but I do envy you mummies B/F - I really miss that closeness. In the middle of the night all couched up looking down at babies face and the funny way their lips look as they feed, and the look they get on their face once its in full flow. DD2 always used to sqeeze my boob like she was trying to get the milk out faster. But I also remember those occasions where it could make your toes curl:rotfl: . If you cannot sleep when you get the chance please just sit and rest - your body needs time to heal/readjust too:D .
General S & S today. So long as hubby keeps kitchen tidy and hoovers through it will look good. DD1 got party later at 3pm so I will drive to pick her up at 5pm (well think it finishes then doesnt say on invite) so will get some driving practice in too.
Pizza and salad for me and DH, spag bol for girls me thinks (or fishfingers).
I need to get more focused next week as I want to step up the exercise and go swimming a couple of times so will pop in pool on way home and see what sessions are free.
Got sunshine at the mo but the grey clouds are looming on the horizon.
Pink Fairy - I think this girl is very lucky to have someone like you looking out for her. It must be a very frustrating position to be in. I cannot offer any advice but just wanted to say that I think your fab for taking the time to care.0 -
Well done on the weight loss shell :T when I lose a 1lb I always say well, it's a 1lb lighter than I was last week and it all helps.
Just bunged the last of my bacon under the grill for a sarnie, I'm starving and littley seems quite content to play out for now so waiting till we get to KFC is out the question lol.....hung a picture I bought weeks ago (it was in my 'for when my house is done up' stash) but I like it in my bedroom, it's the one and only picture but I'm on my way to making it a home.
Best check on the bacon...0
