Taurus.. one of my mogs once brought me 4 baby birds.. probably from the same nest... he was a nightmare for bringing stuff home.. now I have one that brings home live mice for the other one to kill.. murder aren't they!?
Travis.. don't suppose you do plastering in your spare time do you?? It is so hard finding a plasterer here.. We found one who did a fab job but he talked my brains off for 3 days... it would only have taken him half a day to plaster the bathroom if he shut up for 5 minutes!! My hubby can do most stuff but cannot plaster.. I might have a try! *chuckles*.. I NEED this middle room done now.. it is driving me crazy!
Michelle .. hope you manage to get some rest today... is that little man having a growth spurt?? .. Is he about 6 weeks now?? I lost track in my manic schedule.
4 loads of washing done.. and hung out.. I washed the remainder of my slap off and slapped moisturiser about.. and had a baby wipe bath lol.. I drank enough to sweat alcohol.. nasty.. I don't do it very often.. but heyho.. I have another basket full to hang out now so I'll go do that and then his lordship can hump the wardrobe up the stairs to go in the girly room and I may have a room reshuffle! He will LOVE that..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Mine is devoted to me....she follows me EVERYWHERE like a puppy (would it be TMI if I told you that if I don't close the toilet door properly - and really why would I when home alone? - the cat nudges the door open and tries to sit on my lap )
She "talks" at me non stop when I get up until I pick her up for 5 minutes and is always sitting on the hall chair to await my return when I go out, wearing a "where do you think you've been?" look. When I read or sew, she climbs on to the back of the sofa and tries to climb across and lie along the back of my neck like a scarf :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
We had her from a rescue centre (abandoned at about 6 months old, starving, thin and with a litter of dying kittens), and although she doesn't mind the rest of the family, she has decided she is my shadow. She does go out in the garden, but always comes straight in when I call her...her only draw back is her constant need to repay me with dead or dying critters - birds, mice, frogs.....and now spiders...oooh and I hate spiders, I do, I do, I do!
Right - got to get off here now and get ready to go out. Have a nice afternoon all.People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

I have done little bits of plastering the more you do the better you are, I know there is 3 plasterers on the diy board, plasterers round here are very expensive and not very good imo,
I'm a carpenter so I stick to woodwork normally, but because I do kitchens I usually plumb the sink and dishwasher in, with a kitchen upside down it pays to keep on the good side of the lady of the house.
Following the tips and advice of you lot, the 3 ton of gravel I have to move and the housework can wait, it will still be there tomorrow so I'm going to crack open a bottle of wine and read about housework instead of doing it
:beer:Maybe, just once, someone will call me 'Sir' without adding, 'You're making a scene.'0 -

PF - Upload it onto one of the photo sites, then put the link in the box that comes up when you click the picture of 2 triangles with a dot above (in between the globe and the quote bubble)
Pigpen - adding the lightshades is just mean, they're stupid glass bowl things which are only made to collect dust, fluff, flies and cobwebs! I wonder if vacuuming them out would work, that's if I can reach on my step ladders, I hate being small sometimes
Well dropped DPs stuff off then went to Asda (because there is one near where he was) got some yellow stickered stuff mainly breads/rolls (only half price ish but about as good as it gets here) and some of my list. Spent the last hour rejigging freezers (so I can find room for yellow stickered rolls etc and shift about stuff into the freezer I am not defrosting) found lots of things, moved nearly everything apart from the bread and lollies into the little freezer, still got one shelf of the big freezer to empty (bread will only last the week, got it to fill the freezer) then I will be able to call the engineers to come and fix it.
Argh, bottoms, I forgot to put the chicken in.......back later! One day I might be more organised...........

SSL - positive house selling vibes for tomorrow. Are all properties for sale open house at those times or do you chose your own viewing times?
You choose your own viewing times, but in general, most people go for Thursdays and Sundays. I've got a feeling when I sold my first flat I did Tuesdays as well. Madness!
Good news is I've just had a viewer. Hurrah!0 -
Afternoon lovelies!
The rain pretty much stayed away long enough for my sheets to dry yay! been for a mooch round the Museum - our favourite place, well, that and the roman fort.....mooched round the shops.....went to McDonalds for dinner...they really are blurgh! Went and did some visiting at a friends house, OH is busy building their bricks up for the front of the house but it's coming on swimmingly....just got back in so gonna make a brew then get cracking with the leftover list from yesterday, make the tea and evening routine.
Travis my OH is a carpenter/kitchen fitter/small builder....you're very handy people to have aroundexcept my house is always last in the queue to get done. lol

PF I'd contact NSPCC again, tell them what happened with the referal etc and say that you're unhappy that no further action has been taken etc, see if they can provide any further advice.
I'd second that. Do you think it may be worth speaking to the police? They will have a Child Protection Unit, it may be called Family Protection Unit. I'll check with my colleagues over the 16 yo thing. I know they have a lot of problems with 15 yos, but I cant remember anyone getting involved with a 16 yo.0 -
Taurus.. it is lovely when they love you that much though.. One of ours used to sleep on top of my head like a toup!e .. sadly we lost her a few years ago and I still miss her.. when I was pregnant she used to sleep on top of my bump so the babies would kick her lol One of my mothers used to brings in frogs and really long worms!!
Lil_me.. we have one like that too.. I got rid!! lol
I have just listed half my furniture on freecycle again.. 2 beds a chair and a cotbed.. FLING!!!
Question.. my 5.5 year old REALLY wants the top bunk on the new set.. is she too little??? I think she should have the bottom one and my 7 year old have the top ine.. BUT the 7 years old wets the bed and I would REALLY struggle changing sheets up there 4 times a week... so it would be more convenient for me to have DD4 up there as she never wets..
I know the answer to this already but I need someone else to tell me...... My 5.5 year old is the size of an 'average' 3 year old.
right.. back to the grindstone!! and see if I have any takers on this junk yetLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Pigpen - personally I wouldn't put the little one on the top bunk, it's too far to fall when they're flinging themselves about like they do lol.....My littleys 8 and I STILL wouldn't buy her a high bed it was a half way one, I'm a worry wart, what can I say0
