PP DS3 6 often sleeps on the top bunk of DS1's sleeper - we showed him how to come down safely backwards and told him no messing and so far he has been fine.

Evening everyone!
I am so glad it's stopped raining! I spent a very nice couple of hours on the allotment, and have now planted out the peas I grew in guttering - the only thing is, the rows looked so short when they were planted! I shall have to get another length of gutter and grow twice as much next year. I also sowed french beans, but ran out of time so didn't get the maincrop carrots sown.
After lunch I dropped DS2 off at a friend's and then went on to the garden show, as the weather was so much better. I had a lovely couple of hours, wandered around the garden, bought lots of lovely plants, nattered to loads of friends - great fun! :DIt's such a shame that it wasn't nicer weather yesterday, and more people didn't come along. (For the gardeners, I bought two astrantias, one a new and very dark red for a friend's birthday, and the other was 'Roma'; a primula with very unusual flowers that are green like leaves, the name of which escapes me; Euphorbia dulcis, and Iris setosa - don't know if the iris will grow for me, but it was so pretty!)
Gardening for a friend tomorrow, and will try and keep up with the flying this week. I have most of Tuesday free, except for the interview, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will be nice enough to carry on at the allotment.
kaz - DD has maths tomorrow, and has supposedly been revising today. One of the reasons I went out is so I just couldn't get into an argument over the revision... Best of luck to your DS.
PinkFairy - I really hope that it works out for your DS's GF. I've just read on another thread about a young 16 year old wanting to leave her home as her father is abusive when drunk, and there was a suggestion to get in touch with Connexions, who can help young people, not absolutely sure just what they can offer, but may be worth a google at least.
embb - mmmm...I'm still rustling through all the plant books and muttering, purple or white flowers to myself. It didn't have a label on it did it? I shall have to pop into my local B&Q and check it out...
michelle - when mine were very little, I found it very much less stressful if I didn't try to plan to do anything at a set time (because the baby always needed feeding/changing/bathing/feeding again.. just as you're trying to go out.) If things were going smoothly - then we went out on the spur of the moment!
And at the risk of being thrown off the thread, I don't like cats. I particularly don't like the neighbouring cats who have cr****d all over every patch of bare soil in my garden  in the last couple of days.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
pink fairy - I love the cake too. How fabulous and how different! Did everyone see the wedding dance in Martin's email this week? DD and I were rolling about laughing :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Well, I've had a fairly productive day. I applied for an internal job, so emailed the application away at 10 am. Fingers crossed on that one. Its located 10 mins away which would be fab! (as opposed to 10 miles!) I had a viewer today as well, again, fingers crossed. I hope its the kitchen tomorrow as I've just done most of that. Made Crispy Chinese Pork for tea using pork belly which I've never cooked before. Turned out delishNow settled down with a glass of cider in front of Indiana Jones. Bliss
Hope everyone else is having a relaxing evening. Its a public holiday for us tomorrow (instead of next Monday) so a long lie tomorrow as well. Happy days
