Justamum.. I was just going to come loking for you.. good to see you are back!! :D

I've always felt like the Invisible Woman all through my life. At least someone notices little old me around :rotfl::rotfl: I have been very good and have been flying this week. As DH was around I had to show him I did actually do something during the week so I was very, very good :rotfl:

Thanks all for the congrats.. however.. we have had a pile of bad news to go with it.. the baby is fine.. before you all do the sharp intake of breath.. however.. my sister has to go back to hospital in August as they think she has cervical cancer.. if she has this will mean a section at 32 weeks and a hysterectomy.. so this long long awaited baby might be the only one she has... but being us.. we are thankful she has the chance to have this one and it will be the most spoilt little thing ever... no expense spared were my sisters words... Being a naughty auntie... I am not buying anything for a newborn.. well I might.. just a few bits.. but my 'gift' will be shoes.. I will be buying all the babies shoes.. just to make sure it has properly fitted comfy ones.. plus it will help her and it is something practical and sensible.. my sis loves that about me. We are quite similar so it'll be fine. If she wasn't pregnant now.. they'd be doing the hysterectomy in a few weeks.. we are very thankful.

Oh how awful. But how lucky that she is able to have this baby. It will be extra precious to her and her DH being the only one she can have. It always seems to unfair that some people have no trouble having children (I got pregnant really easily) and others really struggle - my sister really struggled to have her second baby (a couple of miscarriages, one termination as baby was Downs with severe problems), and he is Downs, but the most adorable baby ever. Whenever I think of him I get a huge smile on my face. I love him to bits. My sister-in-law had two children with her first husband, but had a number of miscarriages after she married my brother, although they now have two children.

You say what we say.. we were glad of the privelege to know someone as nice as this and hope his passing is easy and peaceful.. and this here baby is al the more precious for everything.. we are focussing on the baby and as there is nothing we can do to change the rest we will deal with whatever is thrown at us.. looks like this is going to be one very eventful year!!!

It was so strange though I knew someone was going to announce a baby.. I had dreamed about a baby every night for 2 weeks.. and haven't since sis found out.. it was so odd!!

Hi again guys - sorry I need to get something off my chest cos I am doing housework and suddenly this has popped into my head and I am really stewing over it.

A few weeks ago we went to my hubby's relatives' double funeral (aunt and uncle both died within 3 days of eachother - very sad but blessing in disguise really in a way). A few days before they died they gave us two cheques for each of our kids for a large sum of money, but we put them away in their 'secret' savings accounts because knowing our kids they'd want to go out and spend and its too much to let kids loose with, believe me. So we decided they'll know about it when they are old enough to be responsible ie put it toward gap year or a car or something.

Roll on the funeral. My son came with us and afterwards the executor (hubby's cousin who is i think in her 60s) insisted we went round to aunt and uncle's home after the wake so that my son, hubby and hubby's dad could pick out any mementoes they might otherwise not get a chance to take. As it turned out no one really found much but I found a small cat brooch for my daughter, son only wanted a couple of matchbox cars but left loads for his third cousin (or whatever he is - hubby's second cousin's son anyway) and hubby's dad took his brother's retirement watch. Cousin pipes up about the inheritance, and she said "I have to wait for your cheques to clear before we can close the account" to which I discreetly (son could NOT see) put my fingers to my lips and gave her a cheeky twinkle with my eyes to show there was no rudeness intended. She responded in a really OBVIOUS way "Yes well no one said who the cheques are for did they." To which I said nothing.
I was very embarrassed and thought how bloomin stupid of her to make it so obvious - my son might have picked up on it, whereas I was being discreet. Stupid cow! I so wish I had said something but it just didn't seem worth it.

Now I read that back it sounds so pathetic to stew over this after a few weeks have passed - but it feels good to get it off my chest. Is it me being too sensitive or was she out of order?

witchypoo.. if it is a few weeks past and the chillies have said nothing I'd not worry.. they either don't care or think she is loopy so don't listen ;) .. don't dwell on it.. what is done is done and emotions were no doubt running high that day and maybe more than her said things they wouldn't have ordinarily. It was insensitive of her to say that, as though all they were interesting for was the inheritence.. ((hugs))
