My two are finally in bed. I've done two hours deep flying! Vaccummed house within an inch of it's life which is very difficult with one hand. I actually started sweeping with bad hand but it hurt so I stopped immediately. Do I ever learn!!

I'm desperately trying to give my children more freedom but tonight I could have strangled them for answering back etc. Still, there's in bed now and I don't think I even shouted!! Mind you, they knew I was cross with them.

Tomorrow I have a potential paying client. She's a long term client who's asked if I can do a hot stone massage with one hand. I've done this a couple of times with friends and they loved it. So, i've told her she just has to pay what she wants. At least it will be a bit of money towards the family coffers!

Soappie - sorry to hear about your brother. People are definitely starting to feel the pinch. Although i'd have loved to go to USA we're just very lucky that DH still has a pretty secure job.

Dusty - the door found it's way from under the bed to the landing where I kept stubbing my toe. I asked DH to get rid of it and he took it to his study. Guess where it still is? Still, I don't go in there so I won't complain.

Pigpen - no shouting today....all the weeks lists done today!! xx

Soappie - as long as they follow procedure then there is no tribunal route - if they don't then 11 months should be enough to get him into a preliminary hearing to argue that if they had followed procedure he would have had a year IYSWIM. You don't get a huge amount of compensation for loss of a job you haven't had for long though, especially if it was a potentially fair dismissal if they had done it the right way - in my experience 4-6 weeks max.

I am back to December on the filing now. I have even found the map etc for the cottage we have booked for BH weekend - which might be useful ;) .

Mudbath - we bought eight reclaimed pine doors for this place. They have been in our future bedroom since December. The Prince of Procrastination has forgotten that they are there I suspect.

Am off to bed in a minute so will say night night ladies.

I've just taken the plaster off my toe and my little pinkie is now a big fat bluey... but at least the bruising is coming out and the nail, although a tad wobbly, is still in situ.

It'll be fun trying to work out what to wear on my feet for work tomorrow.... I don't think they'd appreciate my fluffy slippers in the office - won't do my street cred any good :rotfl:

Have a peaceful and calming night ladies...

Pigpen hope you've managed to escape by now, my 2 have been horrid too so that x4 I think I'd have blown a fuse!
Mudbath, I am sure you'll find plenty to keep him busy. Must admit my partner and I split when he cut his work hours down and was at home more, we had to get to know each other all over again.
dougierobino try adjusting bed time by 10-15 minutes over the next few weeks, she'll want to sleep so you'll have to play with her, prod her etc
soappie, fingers crossed your EliBro sorts something out. I have seen signs of very iffy future when it comes to some jobs, friends being made redundant, a friend's hubby who is a an area manager went last week to announce 40 redundancies, friend's in the construction industry struggling (also evident as I've had calls from roofers we had quotes from months ago asking if we needed work doing as they are quiet) Oh and wear the slippers! It's cold here too, so far I've resisted putting the heating on but know DP had it on the other day when I was out. It is tempting however and I know we've been so careful with the gas usage over the winter.
tia, with the star charts I've used them with non verbal children aswell as verbal ones, DS1 and DS2 were almost non verbal when they started. We worked on pictures, one of their toilet (because a cartoon pic/drawing of one isn't theirs!) with a smile next to it, kept in the bathroom, then they got a sticker/smile when they went, like with any kids consistency is the key. At the end of the line for the stickers was a picture of the present they'd get when the chart was full. http://specialchildren.about.com/od/toilettraining/ some useful stuff on there.

DS2s been a moaning pest all evening, he didn't sleep well last night because he ended up in our bed after he soaked his, so of course we didn't sleep well either. Then before swimming he decided to jump in the paddling pool (which I keep forgetting to empty) fully clothed to get his football, DP was out there with him but wasn't quick enough to stop him so his clothes had to come off inc shoes which are now hopefully drying. Swimming they wouldn't stop fighting, even before we got there, if I wasn't running it I'd have gone home before we even got there. Little one however loved it, never seen a baby do a frog impression before, I swear if his Dad had let go he'd have swam :rotfl:

Not done much in the way of flying myself today, been plodding really. DS2 at appointment in the morning so don't need to dash as much getting him off to school, will drop him off when we get back. DP saying I should go out on my bike as I didn't go today, I know I should, just aches so much :o I think I will brave it, if I stop again it'll only be worse later. Boys have been told by DP that after school they are doing their own rooms (he went into both tonight for the first time in ages and fell over) so will supervise that and no doubt end up doing most of it. I need to do a meal plan tomorrow, I'm not doing well at emptying the freezer, keep putting more in it :o must get it down as both parts are here now.

Right, should get myself to bed as I have a tired headache, will check emails etc then get to bed, good night everyone xx
One day I might be more organised...........

    Hi

I'm not posting what i've done because it's not a lot:rolleyes: . I took Ds2's bike to be fixed this morning but they didn't have the right part. So back in the car we went in the opposite direction and i was told it would cost £80 to fix it.:eek: I think that's all it cost me in the first place. So i decided i would have to buy him a new one. I thought i'd get one for me as well and a seat for Ds2 so we can all go on bike rides together. I told the guy i'd come back later with Ds1, OH and the van. We went back and were happily trying out bikes when the guy helping us said you can't take them today because they need to be checked before they're sold and the guy who does that isn't in until tommorrow. Why they couldn't tell me that earlier i don't know i told him we'd be back after school.

Anyway i'll stop moaning now that's all i seem to do lately. Must be that time of the month coming ;) . Hope everyone is ok i'm off to catch up with the thread now.

    Morning all

Toe is a tad less painful today and not quite so swollen. I shall plaster it up in a moment. I'll drive in my trainers but really can't face taking my slippers into work so I shall probably spend the day barefoot (or with pop socks on depending on how hot or cold the office is!).

Then tonight, I have to finish packing for going on holiday tomorrow. Shame about the forecast!

    Have a nice day ladies

    Morning all

Thank you all so much for the supportinve words and pm's yesterday......it really helped.

DD is a bit calmer this morning. Head of 6th form has asked her to write everything down and Deputy Head teacher of grammar school phoned me last night. After promising a full investigation backtracked and started saying she didn't think looking backwards was productive and perhaps we should just concentrate on making sure DD felt able to go forward from here. Agreed that current state of DD's mind was most important but told her although I could see it would suit the school to not have to look backwards it wouldn't suit me or DD and that I wanted a full investigation of Spanish Tutor's behaviour and if wasn't satisfied I would be going through the Govenor, then LEA complaints procedure.

Feel really low and washed out this morning but have to go to work so will concentrate on that....perhaps I can do a flying list in secret when boss not looking so I can start to get back on track this afternoon.

Thanks again everyone - haven't had tiome to read list through this morning but hope everyone is OK.
