Hi all  from back here on page 20!

Hope you are all ok, just had to let you all know I am going to NEW YORK with the girls to help celebrate my friend's 40th later this year :D Can't quite believe I am going to go, we are going for a weekend at the end of August.

Been crying this morning though as A has written a beautiful letter to Daddy telling him that we are all ok and doing well. She has also told him about Grandad's new red car :) she is such an Angel. I have scanned it to keep a copy and we will laminate it to take to Daddy.

Hope you all have a good Friday, I will catch up over the weekend with all the news.

    Serena I will PM/email you later :)

I've just had the worst nights sleep I've had in months, I must have woken up at least a dozen times  I've also woken up with a stinking cold. Not in a good mood today at all as a result.

    • Kitchen S&S Clean and tidy apart from the dishes. :D Will S&S with spray etc later

    • [strike]Beds[/strike]
    • WM - cleaning cloths
    • FINANCES
    • [strike]Asda Shop - bits & a narrow ruled writing pad[/strike] No narrow ruled pads so I'll toddle off to somewhere tomorrow with DD and make it an "adventure" ;)
    • Computer work x 15 minute burst!
    • Study
      • CSG
        • Section 1-6 Onto section 6 at last! :D

    Morning all,
AnW'smum that weekend sounds great, just what you need.
Taurus well done for sticking to your guns, dont let them try and weasel out of an investigation. Good luck to your DD for her exams.
Hugs Nicki, i've woken up feeling poo aswell, not helped by DD shouting every 10mins from 5.30am 'Is it time to get up yet?' No it bl00dy well isnt:mad:

On a lighter note i've now got 5 people watching my auction on ebay and someone asked how much i want to end it early:D Told them i would just let it run its course, still has 8 1/2 days to go.

Best of luck to all kids with SATs or other exams! My daughter did her Catering Practical yesterday (she's 15, it's 10% towards her GCSE coursework) She reckons as she got an A on the practice a few weeks ago, she should get an A* on yesterday's assessment! That's good 'cos she got an A on an earlier piece of work that was also 10% towards it.

I've been plodding along, doing bits here and bits there (including stuff not on the list!) but I have managed to cross some things off. My 'floordrobe' is usually a chair or other flat surface in my bedroom or bathroom! I mostly sorted it out, just a handful of stuff I have worn that is not actually dirty still, I never know where to put that stuff?! I usually hang it over something to 'air' till I wear it again. That sounds awful!

Oh and I went through my 'Hmm do I still want/fit this?' pile and found loads of it was good for eBay, one item only good for charity shop and my old leather coat (I'm vegetarian but i held onto it cos it was a nice jacket! Beige long jacket, lovely and soft but had a tear and mottled effect on the back) ended up in the bin because a) I can't be arsed to clean/repair it and don't think the charity shop would think too kindly if I loaded it onto them in that state of disrepair.

Wednesday's washload got left on the line in the bad storms we had that night, I gave it a spin in the machine yesterday - but then I realised I had left a dirty mop head in the machine before spinning so I had to wash the lot again :( Oh well!

Here is my updated list with stuff I have done deleted:

    Morning all

One load of washing done, going to hang it up indoors because they've forecast rain.

Dusted living room and vacuumed right through downstairs.

Peeled potatoes for dinner (grasping at finding stuff that I've done now!)

Morning :D not often I pop in at this time of the day, DS2s appointment in half an hour so been checking through emails, banking etc.

I must get some more studying done today, kids are off for a week just before the next assignment is due so hoping to get a lot done before they are off. House is sort of OK still apart from DSs rooms, which they were told they are doing this evening (or at least helping with) so dailies will be done when I get back, DSs sheets to wash/dry but not much else. I must remember to empty that pool. I need to do my meal plan/shopping list aswell so I can get anything for the weekend today.

Right, best go get DSs trousers on then time to go I think, have a nice day everyone (hoping you all have better weather than we have here)
One day I might be more organised...........

    Morning all

I am child free till 12.30 (well 12.15 as have to leave then to collect her). Got loads I want to do but its getting going that is proving the problem. I too had a really restless nights sleep - maybe the change in the weather. Pouring down here today.

So what I need to do:-

Make coffee cake for in-laws visit tomorrow
    Make Apple crumble
    Hoover through
    S & S Kitchen
    S & S Lounge
    S & S Bathroom
Mope kitchen, bathroom and porch floors
Tidy kids room (DD1 has 2 friends round for tea tonight)
    Ironing
    HHE

May do the exercise first as it may get me going. Kettle boiled so will make a cuppa and do bits in kitchen whilst I drink it.

    Will report back in HH.

Have you all missed me? I haven't posted this week as DH has been off with a bad back but has now gone back to work so I can actually get on the computer! What do you mean you hadn't noticed I wasn't around?:D[mutters under breath "I knew nobody liked me".]

Morning all it is overcast and cold here.

DS1 off school with a really heavy cold and headache.

I need to go to town/bank/boots in a minute.
Invigilating this afternoon and off out to a quiz at the school this evening.

I'll update my list when I get back and see if I can squeeze any of it in. I started looking at comparisions for gas/electric last night but not sure how accurate they are so I need to do it again when I have more time to look at rates etc. Does anybody know where you can see a list of the rates per unit?

Taurus I'm glad you DD is a bit calmer this morning and well done you on pushing for an investigation - I hope the other school push for this too as they are outsourcing this subject to the other school so must be paying them for it.

AnW'sMum I'm glad you have a trip to look forward to especially as you know where your passport is. Hugs to A the Angel.

    Be back at lunchtime
