Morning everyone, sorry i haven't caught up with the thread properly yet but big congrats to auntie pigpen, soappie hope your toe is better soon and nicky it's so hateful when you don't get a good nights sleep. Big hugs to everyone who needs one and hello to all newbies.

Been busy this week in the garden and going over our budget. Got a phone call from the architect last night and i need to find 300 pounds by next week:eek: not sure if thats possible. If he'd told me a few weeks ago then i would have had time to gather it up but i did ring the grants office to confirm we had to pay it and he says we shouldn't until it's went through planning and billing so either way i'm gonna have a crap week ahead because i think the architect will pull his finger out to get his money. I'm so in over my head with this.

Me and OH talked about are budget last night and we're really gonna have to pull everything in, still have to find somewhere to live for 2-3 weeks while the damp proofing is done and we can't afford to go anywhere, might just have to put a tent in the back garden.:rotfl:

Right enough of my moaning, time for a cuppa and then start flying, i've let the house go to pot this week. Cuppa anyone???:coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Well that wasn't as painful as I thought it might be :D:rotfl: Its actually quite strange that I've gone straight back into my A-level study mode, aka sat on the chair (but this overwhelming urge to go and lay on the floor with my book :rotfl: ) and a mug of tea in my hand. Only one problem I've found so far, my speed writing (which is how I answer questions on the activities) is awful :o Looking at it now its only just legible so I guess I'll be doing my TMAs on the computer :rotfl:

    Friday:
    • Dishes - in to soak, will wash them after lunch ;)
    • Kitchen S&S Clean and tidy apart from the dishes. :D Will S&S with spray etc later
    • WM - cleaning cloths
    • FINANCES
    • [strike]Asda Shop - bits & a narrow ruled writing pad[/strike] No narrow ruled pads so I'll toddle off to somewhere tomorrow with DD and make it an "adventure" ;)
    • Computer work x 15 minute burst!
    • Study

    10.45-11am - Break
    11am - 11.30 - Chapter 1
    11.30-11.45 - Break
    11.45 - 12.30 - Chapter 1 finish?
12.30 LUNCH & decide on this afternoons timetable if needed :D

Right, going to do something else, hmmm....washing machine on I think ....

    Morning everyone,

Corr! What a cold one today. Sam appears to have a cold, and DS1 and DH not feeling brilliant either. Fingers crossed i don't get it. Sam keeps sneezing, and didn't fall asleep till i had snuggled him in a blanket and then laid him sitting up a bit on a V cushion. Seems happy now he has covered his head, all i can see is the top of it.

It is interesting to see you all discussing the change in the financial climate. I am starting to worry a bit as we will be due a remortage next May, and with predicted fuel price hikes when we will be low on pay and at home all day, then i need to be frugal now. We spent a lot last month, but have been a lot better so far this month - helps that DH hasn't filled the car in a couple of weeks and the ILs paid for a weeks food shop last weekend.

taurus glad to see your DD feels a bit better today. I think you are right demanding a full investigation. What does it hurt a teacher to send an email. In this day and age she probably typed up the questions for the rest of the class anyway, so it would have added less than a minute, and for an A level candidate, even more shocking. I bend over as far as i can to help my students when at work, letting them email me at home with coursework and that sort of thing.

Anyway, going to do a mini-list and see how we get on.

    Morning everyone

DD still off school. Just back from the docs - she has tonsillitus again (3rd time this year) so more banana medicine to throw down her.

So minimal flying today as I have to keep her amused. Weather is dreadful here. Raining heavens hard so I think it will have to be colouring and maybe baking later if she feels like it.

Have a good day - the weekend tomorrow Ya Hoo I get to have a lie in.
    See you later

    Right in my HHC I:-

Did breakfast dishes, wiped sides down, swept floor in kitchen
    S & S Bathroom
Tidied girls room (will change beds over weekend)
    Hoovered right through

Just need to mop floors and thats the cleaning done - I love flylady!

Next its either ironing or baking. I can do baking with little un here but the ironing is not so easy. May knock the coffee cake together, do ironing whilst in oven. Then she can help me chop apples and make the crumble mix later. HHE will be done this evening I guess.

Justamum.. I was just going to come loking for you.. good to see you are back!! :D

AnWs_mum.. that is just lovely.. bless that little angel.. give her a big squeezy hug from me.. and you can have one too!

Thanks all for the congrats.. however.. we have had a pile of bad news to go with it.. the baby is fine.. before you all do the sharp intake of breath.. however.. my sister has to go back to hospital in August as they think she has cervical cancer.. if she has this will mean a section at 32 weeks and a hysterectomy.. so this long long awaited baby might be the only one she has... but being us.. we are thankful she has the chance to have this one and it will be the most spoilt little thing ever... no expense spared were my sisters words... Being a naughty auntie... I am not buying anything for a newborn.. well I might.. just a few bits.. but my 'gift' will be shoes.. I will be buying all the babies shoes.. just to make sure it has properly fitted comfy ones.. plus it will help her and it is something practical and sensible.. my sis loves that about me. We are quite similar so it'll be fine. If she wasn't pregnant now.. they'd be doing the hysterectomy in a few weeks.. we are very thankful.

The cousin of hubby who we discovered on Monday has lung cancer we have now discovered has less than 2 months left according to the docs. hubby isn't happy.

    Anyway.. enough misery...

Next Friday I am off out with my old school friend.. WOOHOO!!! I cannot wait!

Best go find my list... I am still really tired!!
