There is a 10% chance it may improve of its own accord but the consultant said it was very unlikely as the count was so very very high.. miracles do happen.. she's had one which gives us hope for another.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Pigpen, I obviously missed something but I think congrats is in order, a new long awaited baby, how special, but how sad with the circumstances of the cancer. Life can be so strange sometimes, and sending lots of lovely baby vibes your way...
I have had a horrible morning at the hospital with DD. It was a new junior eye doctor we saw and she was patronising and told me to "sit" to which I replied, no thanks I will stand to which she insisted and told me to sit there or she wouldn't see my daughter, needless to say we got our trusted nurse who we have known for 14 years to intervene, me and DD were both in tears. Horrible cow.. her attitude was terrible, we have been going to that clinic for 14 years and she has just started with this huge mightier than though attitude, doesn't go down well with this mum, I did tell her a few things before I started crying with disbelief and anger and seeing my DD so upset..
Anyway, better go do some flying, or not. Hugs :grouphug: for all you lovely ladies
((((((((((hugs))))))))))0
To you and DD.. what a b!tch of a nurse.. I'd be handing in complaints I would not stand for that with my child and I would have created a massive scene.. my speciality!!! (I've been threatened with security before!!)
Oh yes.. our excellent news.. my little sis has been trying for a baby for 4 years.. found out she was pregnant on Tuesday.. had her gynae appointment on Thursday for infertility and because she had several bad smears.. we can deal with anything.. we are big and hard!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Just popping on to say hello to everyone. Seem to have had a busy few weeks so no been on so much.
((((Pigpen)))) and for your sis. Thinking of you all - although its such sad news at least you have something positive to focus on with a new baby on the way.
Well, my weekend is all planned out already:
Friday night: Work
Saturday morning: DD1 at birthday party
Saturday afternoon / eve: Work
Sunday: Great Manchester Run (10K) - feeling quite positive about it now as I ran 10K on Monday night so should be OK unless its about 80degrees again.
Monday: Hospital all day for DD2's kidney scan then working at night
Flying has been done to a reasonable standard with the exception of the bedrooms which will be done over the weekend. In fact I may strip the bed before work tonight and DH can put the clean bedding on whilst I'm out. DD1 & 2's beds have already been changed this week anyway.
Off to iron a shirt for DH - he's got a job interview at 4pm. Fingers crossed as his dept. moves in July so he'll be out of work then.
:wave:0 -
would you believe the day after I call to chase DD4's physio appointment I receive a call offering the 2nd June... another bunch of dates to add to my diary no doubt!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Pigpen, nothing to say except I will be sending massive healthy pregnancy and baby vibes to your sis.
Lil_me, thanks for the link, I think I will give it a go with the charts. He just doesn't seem to know hwen he needs to pee, he only realises when he is peeing.
MumofTwo, that doc sounds horrible! I've met a few horrible ones but so far none have made me cry infront of them. though I have stormed out before. Contact your PCT (Patient Care Trust) and complain.
Raph, great news about the dog! I am pleased for you all.
Justamum, I notice you! You gave up Diet Coke :T
Lets see... what do I need to do today...
Tidy living room and kitchen
Hoover
Kids room (quick tidy and hoover today)
Hoover car
Dinner
and repeat!
Got my standard grade result certificate through today! I got a 3 on math and english, better than I remembered... for only bothering to sit 2 exams... Bursary form is now completed as is nursery form and I will take them to teh college on Monday. I think I'm going to need more stuff for teh bursary form so best do it ASAP.
Got an invite to a friends wedding in Holland in July, DH said we can go if we can save up! Will have to price stuff and get passports, it's also in one of the most expensive hotels in Den Hagg too!
I also have to get to asda but can't be bothered dragging the kids round.
Better get a move on then eh?0 -
DD has come home with a beautiful black eye (currently pink and getting darker as time passes) She's also filthy dirty - apparently she was playing at lunchtime and got hit in the eye with a hard ball one of the kids had kicked. I went in to check on her earlier but she was fine and there wasn't much of a mark at all so I thought she might be alright. She's not impressed - apparently she's ugly now and won't be pretty again until the black eye goes
:rotfl: Well at least it makes a change from me having to go in and collect her as she's been sick over someone

Well remebered Hex!! I can only remember G&B's as she shares her b'day with my Nana (and she's young enough to be my daughter, but never mind!)
Jill - I hope you see this. Happy Birthday for tomorrow. As its FA Cup day and I'm also at the hairdressers, I doubt I'll get the chance to post. If I dont hear from you soon, I'll need to pop down and visit you to make sure you're ok
(((pigpen))) - goodness, what a rollercoaster of emotions! Sending big big positive vibes to your sister.
mumoftwo - big hugs to you as well honey. Was it the nurse or the doctor that was being a b*tch?
shell - did the snotty cow ignore this morning as well?
soappie - I've come out in sympathy with you. I dropped a freezer drawer on my wee toe last night. Nothing broken but its sore. I did think about you!

AnW'sMum - great news about your weekend. I think we probably all stiffled back a sob about A's letter to Daddy, bless her.

May I have some hugs please? Its not been a great day, but then catching up with everyone else's news always puts things into perspective, dont it?0
