RedRuby - I hate to say this but I actually like frogs and have a pond specially for them! You wouldn't believe how many meet up in there in early spring for a massive breeding frenzy! Mind you, I don't have any killer frogs with vicious thumbs. I hate toads, though; they really scare me.

I hope it's soon safe to venture back out in your garden. I do understand the fear - I hate maybugs so much they make me throw up and I don't go out after dusk in May, not even into the garden!

I have ventured back out, trouble is now its disapered which is even more frightining, is it going to jump out and ambush me now, its too hot to be out there now so have come in for an hour, will venture out again later, the side bit of the shed, where we store all the garden bits and pieces needs tidying, but therte is no way I am going in there, might never come out again probably full of frogs  OH can do that when he gets back :D

Glad yesterday was a better day for you.

Have a dozen home made bread rolls "proving" ready to be baked and a pot of home made lentil soup for later.

Washing for DD is nearly ready to go on the line.

DH is not too pleased as I said I might make a curry for lunch!!!! With about one quarter of an oven I think I do damn well!!!!!

    Sorry about the language!!!

Have decided that as long as I am daft enough to try and manage then DH has no incentive to get the main oven fixed or replaced!

DD goes back to Newcastle tonight ready for university after the weekend.

It has been lovely having her home.

Going to hang the washing out and then have a shower. It looks as if it is going tobe a lovely day.

Sorry we did not pick up on your distress - I have been dashing with Dds for the last couple of days so skimreading here.

So pleased about your nephew - but feel it is a dreadful thing to have to type IYKWIM! A lot of us thought the mother would miss the cash more than the boy.

Just going shopping - see you later.

    Beggar it!

dd has broken my mixer in a spectacular way so now I'm having to cream butter and sugar together the way granny used to - tedious is not the word for it. (I'm so lazy i even tried to do it in the liquidiser and BM - it doesn't work btw). DGS was so funny though - every time we switched the mixer on he thought it was a "bellydoctor" (helicopter)

I love your blog Hester btw and I'm sorry if you've had some negative feedback. I think most of us know by now what to expect - my only caveat is that you should not be drinking anything while reading in case of splutter marks on the screen - keep it up :)

Jayward big hugs to you lovely - we're all here for you but it's not the same

I completely agree. Nothing spillable/breakable around when reading Hester's blog. ;) Seriously, you're an inspiration to us all with what you and your husband do to support others.

(((catowen))) I'm afraid that when I've posted in the week I don't tend to reply to people individually, so I'm guilty of not offering you support. Sorry. :o

DH decided that he would be ill several times yesterday, so he never did make it up to Blackpool for the drinking session. Probably a good job really! I left him at home to sleep whatever it was off to go and see my "boys" play. Thankfully, due to the laws of mathematics, they have (somehow) managed to end up in the top 4 of the league so will stay in the European Cup next season. This is what I was doing at the end of the match: :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j

My parents were also there and I hadn't packed any lunch for me. Luckily, my mum had got enough for 3 people. :D She also gave me a packet of orange juice to take in with me. Bless her. :)

DH and I went for a lovely walk this morning and he treated me to a bacon and egg sarnie for lunch. Cooked by his own fair hands. We've been invited round to a friend's house for a bbq for supper, so that means that I can roll over tonight's supper to tomorrow.

    Take care all.

Poggie, I hope dh's eye gets better soon.
Crazychick, glad you got a better price for the car.
candygirl, hugs for you and your mum and dad.
Hester, if anyone is offended by your blog…well they don’t have to read it.
Aussie, belated mother’s day wishes to you! Did you have to celebrate that much?? ;) Glad you had a good day and hope your head isn’t too sore now.:kisses3:
betheebee, you start the thread anytime you want…one of us will come on later and help you to fix it if you get it wrong. You made us all smile yesterday!
dogrose, how did oh get on with the half marathon?
studentgirl, I hope you enjoyed your day off.
Shez, I understand your frustration with the snails…something is digging up my peas at night and I am sick sore and tired of re-planting them.
tattycath, I hope the car boot sale went well.
Catowen, I’m guilty of missing your post on Friday. Sorry. There are so many people posting on the daily these days (which is a good thing) that I think we are all guilty of missing someone’s news from time to time. I was sorry to read about your aunt…It’s a shame you can’t make it to the funeral, but I’m sure that your uncle will understand.
(((Hugs))) to anyone who needs one that I’ve forgotten to mention today.

Well, my day went to pot! I worked this morning as planned, and then came home, got out the hanging baskets, window boxes, compost and plants that needed planting up….sat down for a minute….and woke up two hours later. :o Oh well, they can be done tomorrow.

The roast pork has been postponed until tomorrow too, as it’s far too hot for a roast dinner this evening so I’m getting the barbeque organised now. Mr Pink went to the local spar to get a lettuce as ours aren’t ready yet…they tried to charge him £2.39  so he left it. I think I’ll make a salad with mange tout, peppers and whatever else I can find in the fridge instead.

    Have a good evening everyone.

    Hi Guys!

Yesterday didnt go too well and havent told my family about all the procedures Im having whilst in hospital as I dont want to worry them and yesterday they just depressed me.

2 washloads done today and the DW is just about to go on. Toilet clean and house tidy.

Just waiting on nephew and his wife to arrive. Have put some chicken pieces which we marinated into the oven to cook and will just cook the burgers, sausages and onions on the BBQ. Have also done a few new pots, salad, sausage rolls (reduced and frozen last week), pasta & spicy mayo, coleslaw, pot salad and a HM salsa made by OH.

Have hospital in the morning and OH is taking me for breakfast after. I have a few things to do this week before I go in Saturday....new car insurance, letter sent to bank, letter sent to council, urgent perscription, 2 phone calls, pack up my bag and meds etc etc.

I am feeling very nervous now and OH is trying his best to help, but he's making me feel worse:rotfl: .....I think Im more nervous about not seeing OH and DD TBH. I am used to OH being there 24/7 and I think he can only visit 3-6pm....I feel like im going to be lonely and left alone to get on with it and its going to be difficult using my sticks as I will have no one to push me in the wheelchair. I think im going mental!

Anyway, Id better go and stop moaning as I knwo theres worse off people out there.

    Hugs & Kisses

    PP
